Carlie C's IGA — Local services in Angier

The grocery part of this store may be fine, but I will never set foot in it again. The last 3 times I have gone to the food bar area to get lunch, the people waiting on me acted as if it was an inconvenience to help me check out. Today, was the day that the straw broke the camel’s back. I went to the food bar, got my food and went to check out. I waited and waited and no one came to help me. There was one lady working within sight of me replenishing the counter food bar and she walked in front of me twice putting stuff in the trash can. I could have reached out and touched her. She never, not once looked at me or acknowledged that I was even standing there. I understand it may not have been her job to check me out, but she could have at least said, “someone will be with you shortly” or anything to make you feel you are valued as a customer. The second time she walked by me and didn’t look at me, I just walked out the door and left the food on the counter and will never return. They need to take a good look at their employees and give them some training on customer service before they lose anymore customers. One thing’s for sure, I am...

Went to this location tonight to get deli meat. An older woman helped us, but not well. First we ordered a pound of turkey and after struggling to work the machine, she ended up cutting the turkeys plastic packaging into our turkey. Second she ended up needing help from another guy because she was struggling with doing the order and he helped cutting the ham, he asked her to package it and she left it sitting there open for a little while before he had to tell her again to package it. Lastly while the guy was cutting our American cheese, he was cutting it too thin and had to start over with them and she came over, took her mask down, and began eating off of the machine the pieces of cheese that weren’t going into our order. She kept those same gloves on and continued touching our food and other items around the deli area. I regret not asking for a manager in this situation, I would have gotten her name but her apron straps were covering it. This is the worst grocery store I have ever been to! I came in for a specific reason. Bottle exchange with Le Bleu. After standing in line the gentlemen asked what I needed, which I was standing there with 6 five gallon bottles- I told him I needed a bottle exchange. He went to talk to whom I thought was the manager- and now I sure hope he wasn't- . He came back and said " no one here knows how to do that" . There were 5 employees just standing around and talking about their girlfriends and wife's and no one has a brain to get a key, unlock the bottles and exchange them?????? It doesn't take a scholar to know how to do that!!!! And if that gentleman was a manager, he should be fired!!!!!!! I've never seen so many lazy people at one place in my life!!!!! I really hope the other Charlie C's are better than this one!...
