Stadium Hardware Inc. — Local services in Ann Arbor

This hardware store clearly knows their target market. They carry all the stuff a homeowner or maintenance person might need, from every day items to the occasional, but necessary, oddball jobs that crop up with home and building needs. Staff is super helpful, they are service and problem solving centric and will step you through your project to the finish. I try to do project work if I can, but have limited scope, and the Stafium staff is always there to help guide me. One thing that stands of about this business is, If they don’t carry something you need in stock, they are happy to order it for you. But being honest, the main reason I go there is because they are always 100% honest in their business approach. For example, If they don’t have the part you need, and they see your really in a jam, they will be the first place to tell you who might have it on stock. They staff really want to help you solve your situations. And for THIS reason alone, that’s why I always go back to Stadium Hardwate again and again, they are honest as the day is long ... and I truly appreciate integrity as part as a business ethos .., wins my loyalty and repeat business eveytime!

It Simply Doesn't Get Any Better.

The guys and gals there know their stuff, are always willing to help, and know how to get creative. Basically the opposite of the big box stores. Also in contrast to the big box stores, they'll almost always have what you need and you won't have to buy a pack of 50 to get the 1 piece you want. I ALWAYS go here first. They'll even cut, tap, bend or whatever you need (within reason) done to a part you buy if you can't or don't have the tools at home.

This place gives you a real sense of why we should support local businesses. The warm people, welcoming culture, and the degree and amount of helpfulness here are just not something you get in a place of business much nowadays. We need to preserve this. If something costs and extra dollar or two, it's because you're paying for those invaluable details you will never get at a big box store.

Also, by stopping here before anywhere else, I can basically guarantee your projects will go more smoothly with input from these folks. I'd pay for some of their wisdom on its own. Thankfully, all you have to do to pick their brain is buy some nuts...

Stadium Hardware is everything a local store should be. Yesterday, my son decided it would be a great idea to spray paint his hands while working on an art project. He then decided to rub his hands together and well....they stuck. It was a quick mom decision of urgent care or the hardware store and I started with Stadium Hardware. They found a solution that wasn't paint thinner (phew) and took him into the bathroom and sprayed his hands with the solution and wiped all the paint away and got his hands completely clean. The poor guy even got the purple spray paint all over his hands in the process. They were kind, helpful, and absolutely amazing. They knew immediately what to do and helped my son in a way that he was amused and felt totally safe.

Every interaction I've had there has been wonderful. No one has ever mansplained or eyerolled at my questions. They are kind, always available to help, and always have an idea of how to help with a project (or a kid with their hands stuck together). I feel so lucky to have them in my...
