Racial Profiled and Followed Around the Store like a Hoodlum!

I know I don't look like the average customer that visits this store. I'm a little bit taller compared to the average and a QUITE a bit darker in complexion as I am a Black American.

But the fact that one of the managers at this H Mart didn't even try to hide the fact that he was following me around and watching my every move as if I was going to steal something was a huge insult to me.

I was cordial when I purchased my fish offering a pronounced nod and a formal kamsahamnida (thank you) to the fish monger. I was also patient with the old ladies who stood in the way examining the ready to eat meals while I wanted to get though the narrow aisle with my shopping cart. So what did I do wrong?

I think the lyrics from an old song from Stevie Wonder explains it best: "You may have the cash, But, you can't cash in your face, We don't want you living here!"

It's sad but true, old Annandale Virginia which was never known for racial tolerance has had the old Southern in-hospitality towards race perpetrated by a new group. The Koreans that run the H Mart.

It's mind-blowing that the battle continues. I will vote with my wallet however and I encourage you the reader to do the same. I will not be treated as a second class citizen and if you try to I will speak up. But don't worry H Mart Annandale, you won't...

The worst customer service I have ever had. I came to this store tonight to get something for my dinner. Everything went okay until I went to checkout. The cashier was not very friendly at first. He completed my checkout and I walked out to my car, still holding the receipt on hand. Somehow, the cashier scanned a windex cleaner he used to clean his station into my receipt. I ended up paying $3.48 for the windex cleaner which I did not purchase.I went back to let him know that I did not purchase any windex cleaner and question him why it was on my receipt . The dude accused me of being a liar and that was not the receipt he gave me, and I must had mistaken the receipt with different store. I was extremely mad until the cashier lady next station helped me refunding my money. It was one of the worst customer service I had ever received. I don't think I ever want to come back to this store again. Don't even think it deserves one star. I understand everyone makes mistake, but accusing the person who points out your mistake for being a liar is...

I love the produce, seafood, and the Tea options at the HMart. Firstly, It is the cleanest HMart I have been to in the DMV area hands down! The staff are very attentive at this HMart. For example, you can see often someone at the produce area, seafood/meat, and hot food bar ready on stand by waiting for you to ask questions ( I love this, you don't see this everywhere). Now y'all my favorite thing to buy is this poppington Green Tea, Milk Tea and the delicious Honey Green Tea I add a dollop to my team with Almond Milk and its amazing. Now regarding the Hot Food near the Kimchi section, so so so good I had a delicious fried rice with Kimchi and fried egg on top with fried wonton, zucchini, and gyoza definitely worth trying. Lastly, I also purchased a Hello WOK to make a great Thai Curry ( I bought the paste from this HMart as well AND...
