This past Sunday, my partner and I went out to Anoka to go antiquing, as we often do. At Antiques on Main, I purchased a ring marked as 10kt gold. However, upon testing it, I was shocked to find that the ring was actually silver, not gold.
I immediately called the store and was told the owners would be in on Wednesday. I took the day off work to come in and speak with them, but they weren’t there. Instead, we had to contact them by phone and then speak with the vendor who sold the item.
I was told to hold on to the ring while the vendor reviewed the situation. When I received a call back, I was extremely disappointed to hear that I was being accused of switching the ring, and that no refund or even store credit would be offered.
I was more than willing to accept a goodwill store credit due to the clear mislabeling, but that was denied as well. This experience was deeply frustrating. I’m appalled that an item so clearly misrepresented was allowed to be sold — and even more shocked by how the issue was handled. I will not be returning, and I urge others to shop...
Read moreWe were profiled as soon as we walked through the door and followed the entitre time we were in the store (skinnier woman with short hair and wearing a vikings jersey, behind the counter left it and kept peeking through shelves at us and staring) the prices are rediculous, literally charging triple the price for something I saw at menards the other day, and non vintage art prints (ex. a clown print being sold for 46$ and you can get the exact one for 12$, knives being sold at menards for 19$ being sold at as high as 80$). Not to mention the amount of disgusting cutural appropriation that they allow their vendors to sell (ex. several glass chief heads, Native Tribe belongings, offensive statues) I was so disgusted by the staffs behaviour, and the prices but as soon as I saw the amount of offensive Native stuff I had to walk out. I've been coming here for years,...
Read moreThis was a great experience. My husband and I were looking for old bottles. As soon as we stepped inside the shop I was mesmerized by the beautiful furniture pieces that they had. I've always loved antique furniture so this was like a candy store to me. My husband was able to find a few pieces that interested him. The staff was very helpful to him and it wasn't difficult at all to find the shop.the prices were a bit high but we didn't mind because the quality of the pieces I felt was good . I am planning to go back there soon. If you're interested in buying or selling antiques I would highly...
