At first impression this store is a lot bigger than most MTG stores I have been too and the selection seems a lot better. While the cards seemed to be over priced versus online card sellers, this is common with local card shops. The reason I give this store a one star is purely based on customer service. I did not get the name of the lady who was working, but she was very rude and seemed genuinely upset that she had to be there working. She spent most of her time loudly talking to her coworkers versus helping customers. A major reason why people shop at local shops and pay more is because of customer service. When my fiancé and I went to check out we were initially unaware of the $10 minimum on debit cards. The lady working rudely informed us "$10 minimum, $10 minimum" We do not carry cash so we offered to keep looking to see if we could find anything else. As we are looking and trying to make a decision she comes over to us and loudly exclaims, "are you guys going to actually buy anything because I can't have you tying up my register." My friend who shops at here regularly said she might be the owner. That's a real shame if so, I would definitely expect better. As the general manager of a large clothing retailer I know poor customer service and this lady is really really bad. I would have bought a lot but instead I walked out and he uncomfortably made his $10 purchase. We will never be...

Some of their products are over priced and some are more than fair! No one is forcing you to buy anything here and honestly, they have one of the best selections of Pokemon and MTG product I've seen in the area and I've visited most of(if not all) the card shops in this area.

What I'd really like to highlight though is their bulk Pokemon card product that you can buy through their online shop. Out of ALL the card shops in the Antioch/Lake Villa/Grayslake/Gurnee region, they have THE best selection of common cards to purchase. You have to do it through their online store but holy is it so simple and well organized. It shows you how many they have in stock of a certain card and what condition & price it is. You can select all the ones you want and then choose to either pick it up same day or the next business day. Their site even organizes by what set they're from so whether you are looking to complete some master sets or just want some cute cards like me, this is the place to do it.

I love that their selection includes vintage cards and I can just browse at my leisure from home instead of in store and handling the cards. When I went to pick my cards up, they definitely had singles for purchase in the case (graded slabs and other gorgeous cards). I'll definitely come back here again and purchase from them! This place is not great. Does not tell you that you have to order online to get specific cards and, when I take my time to come out here and waste my gas, he can’t even help me get a few cards. Every card shop I have ever gone to will go through cards for you, but nope. Not them. Told me he was busy and then stepped out to have a cigarette. Worst place ever. Wasted gas. Didn’t get anything. Zero stars

Edit because of reply: I quite enjoy your attempt in making me out to be wrong. You were not patient and were actually quite confusing because you kept beating around the bush and saying “this one time I’ll let it slide” and I don’t even understand what you were going to let slide. As you stated at the store I would not be able to get my cards that day. I would have to order online. Your “online people” may go pick the cards for me “within 10 minutes” but I am not getting my cards in 10 minutes. I would have to come back to the store another day as you had stated to me. You did not articulate well, you miscommunicated multiple times, beat around the bush and lied. Once again, I can go to most card shops and they will take the time and care to actually attend to me and get me what I want AND be straight forward.
