Hi really like the seafood entrees, we have been here twice and ordered same entrees in a row we liked it so well. Friday seafood is not on their menu but the wait staff happily without needeing to ask because she listed to us in person.
I ordered cod with fry which you can also get baked, my husband ordered walleye, as my Dad ordered shrimp which I believe is on their menu. My Dad shared his shrimp, as he had quite a bit, he had it fried and it was fantastic, nice and light. Cod and Walleye both had decent pieces of fish, however not all you can eat. We are absolute fish seafood fans and normally prefer AUCE but we all leave quite full and barely can finish our meals.
On fries, you can change fries with several different with for me only a buck for sweet potato fries. Best I've ever had in my life and I've lived in several different states, never ever had as great sweet potato fries. Tonight I asked on sauce for fries as I say it's to die, wait staff told me homemade honey cream. Yummy. Nice to be able to change fries to about 5 different other sides you can pick from. Cole slaw also comes with and I believe home made also.
We all really love 💘 this. You might want to bring a sweater as its cool but I love AC. Restrooms and whole place very clean and all staff I've seen are friendly. Casual place with also a large eat out cute patio. If you can't park out front huge back behind parking but a tiny bit extra stairs in back.
I would vote 5 more if AUCE only because of price but we do leave very full. Big bar with karaoke in later in evening. Can't wait until next time.

Read moreI have been there to eat 3-4 times and once for breakfast. I got the chicken fried steak for breakfast and yeah, it was reasonable as far as price and portions go, but VERY VERY salty. The other items I have tried are the Steak Sandwich, a Rib Eye that was VERY fatty and tough and the "Special" that was advertised as a BBQ Brisket Sandwich, but in reality was a sliced Pork sandwich, NOT Brisket. The Fries are the thin "Shoestring" type and I have never gotten them even close to being hot, or even warm and on both occasions I could detect the rancid taste of old cooking oil in some of the bites of Fries.
I was in the restaurant game for over 25 years and have managed everything from taverns like this to fine dining and even a Deli. The last time I was there (10/23/13) I voiced my concerns about the rancid taste in the fries and the fact that the sandwich that I got was not actually Brisket, but some sort of Pork, and even tough the Bartender agreed with me and said "I am so sorry!"And even though I was not able to even come close to finishing any of it they charged me for it anyway with no appearance of any real concern over my comments. I will not be back to spend my limited income.
To be fair, I have had the Friday Fish fry, and I will say that the Walleye is very good. Some of the best I have had. Just stay away from the cold and sometimes rancid...

The back deck is quiet and enjoyable. Food was really solid - obviously get the curds. I had a burger (and for once actually received it cooked rare when I ordered that), plus the duck tenders.
The burger was great - perfectly cooked and not dripping with grease or anything. The toppings (blue cheese, BBQ sauce, onion rings) were in good proportion, too. Genuinely one of the better burgers I've had in a while.
The duck tendies were unique, I'd suggest it as a split appetizer, and ask for a side of blue cheese. Probably not something I'd rush to order again, but definitely worth trying.
This isn't a place to stop for a 20 minute meal, though. Service wasn't exactly speedy and brought the wrong drink order, but it was clear that we arrived right after several other tables so it really wasn't a huge deal. Plus it was Sunday afternoon - we were in no rush at all. Everyone was friendly, chatty, and really enjoyable.
I'll definitely stop in again next time I'm...
