I went in to get a new mod because the battery on my current mod stopped functioning. I have been going here for three years and spend on average $200/month at this store. I have had negative experiences, mostly being ignored by staff when there is virtually no one else in the store, but nothing like today. I was treated by the four employees there like I was some sort of burden or inconvenience... I was first told I need to promise to by a mod kit before I was allowed to use the bathroom, when I asked about the return policy (There is none) my surprised reaction was met with hostility and I was told we can open it and make sure it's working before I leave the store.... fine... when I asked about the hand written sign saying "Vape Mods 20% off" I was told in a very sketchy round about manner that it only applied to certain varieties which the mod they chose for me was not included.... then I asked about the 2 for 30 deal they have for endless fog vape juice and if the 20% was relevant and was told it applied to the juice "and that was fine".... a separate employee handled the actual end transaction, when I informed him that I was told by the first employee that we could open the product to ensure it functioned he suddenly got very loud and self righteous and told me they can't honor what the other employee told me and put my purchase behind the counter telling me "I either want it or don't" ... suffice it to say this left me mortified and I told him I did not understand the reaction and pointed out that I had not once raised my voice nor had I become combative. He had the audacity to walk away from the transaction at this point, telling me he would "rather go help a different customer"
The employee that stepped in to finish the transaction then insulted my intelligence by telling me the other guy was new and it was his "Second day" and was misinformed about the pricing and discounting (After all was said and done they did open it to ensure functionality after it was purchased and then refused to apply the discount for the e-juice)... even though the emotionally unstable individual that stormed off has been there on and off every time I have frequented this store for the last several years and was even the exact individual that sold me my original kit back in 2017....... I told friends and others about my experience and wasn't surprised to learn that they too have had negative experiences here, mostly being ignored, misquoted pricing, complete product ignorance or defective devices that stopped functioning just days after purchase. Neither myself nor any one in my circle will be visiting this vape shop again which we all figured together is about $1500/month in business for these guys. They obviously don't value the regular customers that keep their doors open. If your nearby and need a quick pack of cigs or a bottle of substandard e-juice at slightly higher prices than nearby establishments then this is the place for you, but I wouldn't go here if your looking for hardware or glass, you will be given the run around and have a retail experience that will leave you feeling swindled and underappreciated, in addition to this, the staff is incompetent and unprofessional. Read moreEDIT: I will keep my original review below because I feel like it serves as a fantastic example of how I feel that management should take care of their store. I went back today and was greeted by Tommy, my fiance says he goes here frequently and knows all the guys there, Tommy helped me today pick out a few products placed in various locations of the store without any problems whatsoever, and assisted us in choosing the correct sized items in the store and was friendly and delightful when talking to us, clearly invested in taking the time to hear us and made informed choices to help us get in and out quickly, while not feeling rushed at all. He mentioned that the former employee who had caused the smoke shop to lose a substantial sale the last time I visited was no longer employed there. I was not given any specific reasons, but I can probably assume.. Iwas surprised that he was able to recall my initial, slightly embarrassing 2-star review and follow up with me personally on it. The two people working tonight seemed like fantastic staff, the store was great as always, and I think they deserve a 5-star review now that they got rid of the classroom bully. 😉 5 stars!
Two stars because of the great selection and good prices. That's all I can say that's positive as me and my boyfriend just got rushed out of the store because we were browsing. I looked at the glass and a dude with tan skin and a beard rushed me out of the back because I wanted my boyfriend to look at a piece I picked out before I bought it. He said if I wasn't ready to buy glass to "go help your confused boyfriend" then told my boyfriend that he needed to hurry up because there were more customers and not to spend 20 or 30 minutes inside the store. (We have been inside maybe 5 minutes at this point) Before we came my boyfriend called to ask about product availability and the same guy said "We have lots of products, come in and look for yourself" But when we came in to look for products, we got pushed out of the store because we wanted to consider our options first? Read moreI have been a regular customer of the tobacco shop for 10 years or more. The staff has always been great… until now. There is a relatively new guy, short, stocky, dirty blonde longer hair. He is the most unpleasant employee they’ve ever had. And dear god if you bring one of the coupons on the back of the Cub receipts. He always tries and many times has just not allowed them. He refused it on any devices. He has tried to only use it on one item. When I said we can ring them up separately I have plenty of coupons he actually got mad and honored it. He is constantly offended by anyone that has them. It completely baffles me. No one else is like this. No one. Everyone is great about them and when I have to run to my car to grab one they tell me not to worry. I am a regular. But this guy searches the expiration date, when he knows I have plenty of them. He looks for reasons to not let you get the discount. Sadly, I don’t really like going there anymore. He seems to work all the time. And he’s not nice.
