Never ever, and I repeat NEVER bring your vehicle here for anything! I really wish I could vote “0” stars, because I would with the amount the stuff I’ve been through with this place of business. Everytime I have to call this place or even bring my vehicle here, I cringe at the fact that I’m going to be penny pinching for next three months due to the amount of money they charge for anything there.
I’m super disappointed in the amount of disrespect and lack of service/communication this business has. This place is supposed to be the “best of the best.” This place is supposed to be the “cream of the crop,” well let me tell you something.. this place is a complete joke.
This place makes everyone that comes in their doors feel like absolute garbage. They don’t care about anything else besides how much they can squeeze out of everyone’s pockets when they comes in.
About 8-9 months ago, I took my truck in for a normal oil change, and they came back and told me that I need this done, and I need that done. I said fine, go ahead and do it. I gave the morning sales advisor Mr Wes, who was supposed to be giving my keys off to someone else who wasn’t in yet. My keys sat there all day. My truck did not get looked at nor touched till I called and asked for the status of the vehicle. The gentleman that I spoke too, didn’t know where my truck went. They “couldn’t find it” he said. Then asks if I brought it too the right location, and I said I brought it too the college avenue location. That is where I was told to bring it. Long story short, it took them almost two days to complete everything that needed to be done with it. Whacked me for 4.8k and kicked me out my merry way.
Fast forward till present day, I needed my 02 sensor checked because my check engine light came on. (Thinking due to the cold, the truck was all sorts of pissed off at me.) My truck through itself into low power mode and was not able to be driven to the dealership. I waited for the day to warm up a bit before I took it over to Bergstrom. Dreading every second I’m driving over there knowing they are going to try and soak me for everything I got. I told them everything that was going on with it that day, and a few hours go by, and I received a text message with a link to a PDF bill for $400… just for running their diagnostic test and clearing a code. They charged me for the same thing twice, that can be tested by that one code reader. After all that was said and done, the service advisor goes “you have normal mileage maintenance that needs to be done” I told him to go ahead and get it scheduled. I dropped my truck keys off again at 7am this morning at the same guy… Mr Wes.. you think that with them doing this the first time, that they would be on top of their game this time. Boy was I dead wrong. Wes forgot to give my keys over too the service advisor again! For the second time in a row! I knew something was wrong when I haven’t heard anything from them all day today. So I called and asked for the status. That’s when I was told they had forgotten about me again, and that they are going to get it in first thing tomorrow morning.
Super disappointed in the fact that I can’t even get a phone call about me missing my appointment when I set one! If I set an appointment, and if I don’t show up, I call and reschedule. If I had an appointment set with them, wouldn’t you think you would want to call that customer and ask where the heck they are at and why didn’t they show up? Maybe you would think they would call right away in the morning?
I’m also super disappointed in the fact that they had a set of keys to a random person/customers vehicle and didn’t even care to look into who’s it could possibly be? I just don’t understand. Please make it make sense.
Don’t take your vehicle here if you know what’s good for ya and your wallet.
Sincerely, the customer that always gets forgotten...
Read moreI dropped my Corvette off on 6/19/2023. It was diagnosed on 6/20 and an estimate provided of $3200. Parts needed to be ordered and was told it should be done by 6/23. No updates were provided on 6/23 and I inquired myself on 6/26. Was told the parts arrived and car would be done by EOD. Car was not done and was told technician fell behind and car would be done on 6/27. Was told on 6/27 that the wrong parts were sent and car would not be done until 6/28. Bill sent of over $3600 - well over the estimate and I was inconvenienced by a mistake on your end. Bill was modified to approx. $2800 to rectify my inconvenience which I was appreciative of. Scheduled a shuttle for 5PM so I could get there before they close at 6PM to pick up my car. Shuttle was not scheduled to show up until 6:02PM - an hour later than what I was confirmed as having for a pickup time. I cancelled the shuttle and got a ride so I could get there sooner - another inconvenience since I ran home right after work at 4PM in Green Bay to get home in time for the shuttle pickup. It was also my wife's birthday and due to all of the delays, we had to cancel her birthday reservations. I picked up the Corvette at about 6:20PM and when I got home, I noticed that the carpet and the curtain in my trunk were not put back together correctly and it is all jacked up to where the curtain is off track and the carpet is not set in correctly. I would ave thought this would have been noticed when the tech put everything back together. So now I have to schedule yet another appointment to bring it back in to have the mistakes fixed again. Another major inconvenience given my schedule and given the limited number of months and good weather days we have in Wisconsin, I am losing days where I can even drive the car. I brought my car in last summer for an oil change and some repairs and everything went very well which is why I brought it back. After this experience, I may never bring my Corvette back to Bergstrom - this has been one hassle after another from the get go.
5/2/2024 (addendum) - In the past 12 months, I have had to bring my Corvette in to Bergstrom multiple times and have spent over $4000 in repairs. Every time I get the car home, a new problem immediately surfaces. Some of them were mechanical and some were due to my car not being put back together correctly. This last visit, my car was there for two weeks because the part that was ordered was faulty and had to be reordered. The car has less than 60K miles on it and spends most of its life sitting in the garage. It only goes out on perfect days and gets less than 1000 miles put on it in a year. The car never had any issues until I brought it in to Bergstrom for the first time for an oil change and since then the repair bills have snowballed. I have spent almost as much in repair bills in the past 2 years than I paid for the car. It is well maintained and taken care of yet whenever I get my car back from Bergstrom, a new issue seems to surface. Could be a bad coincidence but seems awfully consistent. I also asked for a quote to get the AC recharged and never got a response back. The staff is friendly but I am consistently inconvenienced due to errors or bad parts and I seldom get to even enjoy the car. Never had an issue with it in the previous 4 years I owned it prior to bring it in to Bergstrom and now it just seems to be a...
Read moreOnce the work was started it was done well. The process started for me in late September with regular service and me requesting an estimate on some damage to the front of my truck. I received the truck back with the estimate from the body shop on the front seat. I proceeded make an insurance claim and contact the body shop. This is where the problems began. I left a message with the body shop and received a phone call back from someone who told me that they needed to order a replacement front bumper valence. When I asked why they weren't replacing the tow hook and fender liner as well (like it said on the paper estimate given to me) he was confused and said he would call me back. I received a phone call from a different individual in the body shop and they told me that I needed to bring the truck in again (30 minutes away) for another estimate. I brought the truck in again and was told my original estimate was correct and they would order the parts once my insurance claim was processed. A few days later my claim was processed and I tried to contact the body shop. The first two times I tried to contact the body shop I was repeatedly reconnected with the front desk receptionist who answers the dealership phone. On the 3rd day that this happened I was finally able to leave a voicemail for someone in the body shop letting them know that the insurance claim was processed and I had received the check from my insurance company. I waited a few weeks and had no call back from the body shop. I tried to call again and was able to talk to a woman in the body shop but she told me she couldn't put in a part order and that someone else would call me back. I waited another week without contact from the body shop so I called again! This time I spoke with someone who said the parts would be ordered but they were unsure when they would come in. Fast forward to December 7th. I called again to check out the status of my part order and they woman I spoke to seemed confused and that I would get a call back from the manager. Later that day I did receive a call from the manager and he apologized for the confusion saying that you have had some staff turnover and said the parts would be ordered. The work was done on December 15th. The new parts seem to fit well. I have bought 3 new vehicles from Bergstrom locations and always had great experiences doing this, but my last experience was far from good......and I was still charged the full $992.82 for the repairs. At this point I'm not sure I would recommend work from the body shop to...
