On 5/5 I ordered two phones and paid by card at the store. Changed my mind and called when I got home to cancel. I was told I had to come to the store. When I got there I was told the phones had left the warehouse and I would have to come back the next day. Next day I came in and we completed the return and I was told the refund ($209) would show up on the card in 5 to 7 days. Seven business days (9 calendar days) later I call because the refund isn’t there and find out the phones are still in the store and the refund won’t happen until the warehouse receives the phone. Customer support supervisor Stephanie says that a refund cannot be processed until the phones are at the warehouse and even the CEO can’t overide this. So I guess if a phone is lost in shipping you never get a refund??? Store messed up the return by not following up on why the phones were still in the office. US Cellular the company, (with a market cap of $5.2 billion), expects their money on the due date but could care less when they owe you money. As of today, this is 14 calendar days and still no refund. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. A 30 minute or more wait is average in a cell store if all the associates are working on opening a new line for a customer, working to fix an issue on an intricate electronic device like a cell phone, reviewing a billing issue with a customer, etc. It's not a supermarket check out line. You would want the same attention for your issue, so don't complain about the wait. Be happy that the staff cares enough to work on the issues and will give your's the same attention. Secondly, US Cellular internet doesn't have power lines "I work for a cable company" lady. So where are they suppose to send a repair crew, the sky? Get over yourself, Karen and move on. Cell reception is probably not good in your g-ma's area, therefor her internet would be the same. If you feel you know more than the employees, go to USCC.Com. Look under the employment section. They are always hiring around the country. (And no, I do not work for the store, but have been a 30+ year customer. He has gone above and beyond for me, working tirelessly on an issue for over two weeks. His patience, professionalism, and calm demeanor are unmatched. Even when the store gets busy and customers get a little stressed (including myself), Shaun never loses his cool. He truly gives exceptional customer service and makes every person feel valued.
He multitasks like a pro, and it's clear he genuinely cares about helping his customers, not just rushing them through. The wait can be a little long sometimes, but trust me — it is 100% worth it because you’re getting top-notch service.
A big shout-out to Michele as well — she also jumped in and helped work on my issue, and her kindness and determination to get things resolved did not go unnoticed.
