This is a cool old war memorial that was first made in memory of those from Arlington who perished in the Great War between 1917 and 1918. Since then, panels have been added by the American Legion for four soldiers from the Great War, two panels for the Second World War, Korean War, Vietnam War, and the War on Terror (Afghanistan and Iraq). It’s cool if you’re a (local) history buff like myself or the wish to pay respects. It is the only attraction in the Clarendon Central Park. There are also a few panels added on Remembrance Day, 2019 that tell about Arlington in the wars. There are two cannons from the War Between the States (~1861), but in order to see the panels up close, one must step over the chains there and walk around on a tight grass area.
