We always have problem with this resturant either in Arlington or Bethesda . They are some type of Persian foods such as Kale Pache and Dizi that they need to be served with bread and they cannot be eaten without bread. Both locations of this resturant serve only little bit of bread with these kind of foods and the customer have to beg for the bread. We were in the Arlington location tonight and our food got cold while we were waiting for the bread to come . When my husband went to talk to the person who apparently was the shift managers or as he claimed he was the manager of the resturant , his response was so rude and was unbelievable from a resturant supervisor to talk like that with a customer. He said that he does not have bread ready and we have to wait for it to be baked !!! Well that's not right first of all ! For the food that has to be served with bread it's not acceptable to not have bread ready in case customer ask for it. When someone order Kabab with rice , can you bring Kabab and bring the rice after the Kabab gets cold and claim that the rice was not ready ?!?!?!? Secondly , even if that was the case, he could gently and nicely say that , and apologized for not having bread ready instead of being rude . We have been a regular customer of Kabab Bazar and I have never seen him there , but he was claiming that he was the manager. That does not end there though ! After that, he started complaining to other staff about our request of getting bread ( kind of talking behind us but talking loudly that we could hear him from our table ) and that was when my friend and my husband got so mad and went to him to told him that's not nice to talk such a thing behind your customer , but he ignored totally and he changed his words . The guy who was our server was a very nice guy and He was keep apologizing and even brought us tea at the end and tried to make us comfortable at the end which was so nice of him but that's usually a supervisor duty to make the customer calm and happy , not the server. Anyway, my rating for my tonight's experience at Arlington location was even less than 0. My husband did not finish his food since he was so mad and disappointed that he could not eat after that ! To Kabab Bazar owner and staff I have a question : As resturant , are you satisfied with your service now ? Your customer walks in hungry and leaves hungry too!?!? . If that's your goal and mission , then I am sorry...

We ordered a pomegranate thick soup (aash) without paying enough attention to whether it included meat ingredients. My mom and I are vegetarian, and we immediately noticed meat balls in the two bowls of soup that arrived. We were kindly offered by the server to have the pomegranate soups replaced with similar item in the menu that didn’t have meat.
Once the bill came we realized we had been charged for the replaced items as well. I brought that to server's attention who referred me to the owner who asked if I had read the menu before the original order was placed. I answered no. He then asked if we had touched our soups, before he reluctantly and rudely said he would "accept the loss” this time and adjusted the bill, instead of what should have been said in such cases that the bill would be adjusted as a courtesy to the customer. Saying as a person with years of experience in the hospitality industry, I am sorry that the management of a well-established restaurant has not realized yet that caring for customers should come ahead of counting every penny they earn or lose.
In addition, they need to pay attention to hygiene, and renovate and regularly clean their restrooms that were found in appalling condition.
The management of “Kabob Bazaar” need major customer service training and they need to reset their business mindset and start with trusting their customers and prioritize "the positive experience." They also need to empower their serving staff to make petty decisions such as replacing a small bowl of soup without escalating the matter to...
Read moreI first tried Kabob Bazaar a few years ago and honestly, some of the dishes I had back then were below average. I walked away unimpressed and swore I wouldn’t be back.
Fast forward two years — this place is the only one I know of that serves authentic Kale Pache and Dizzi, so I decided to give them another try. I’m so glad I did! My experience this time was fantastic and made me realize that my past visit might have been a one-off. Over the years, I’ve had their food at events, and it was always good, but this recent visit finally made me a fan.
The Kale Pache and Dizzi were absolutely delicious — flavorful, hearty, and cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, and the textures were just right, from the tender meat to the perfectly balanced broth. The Aash is now my go-to DoorDash order, and their Ashe Anaar was phenomenal — tangy, aromatic, and comforting. I’m already looking forward to having it again and also to trying their Halim next.
The overall ambiance of Kabob Bazaar is warm and welcoming. The servers have always been polite and attentive — both during my visit two years ago and now. The service is consistent, which I really appreciate.
I’ve now added Kabob Bazaar to my list of favorites. While I may not try everything on their menu, I know I have dishes I can count on here, which makes it a first-choice spot for me. I’m already planning to organize a girls’ day brunch here soon for Kale Pache, Dizzi, and hopefully Halim.
If you’ve had a so-so experience here before, give them another chance — it might surprise you...
