Dont bother calling the 800 # nobody respondes, they could care less apparently what kind of crazies they have woeking here, facts. Its been 24 hours & no call back, disturbing actually. Maybe the news needs to be contacted about the condirons of this store & the kind of people you're hiring here.
Who is supervising this store, apparently nobody.?? Why are you not investigating or taking in calls when something as bad as this was, to deal with it? Is this the kind of people you've decided to hire, the worst of the worst apparently.
LOOK AT THIS PLACES HISTORY & BAD REVIEWS..No wonder/bad management.
Super ridiculous HIGH PRICES & I have a very good income. Ridiculous.
Been going to this goodwill for 5 years now never, ever have I had an issue until today.
To clarify, when you purchase something you're suppose to take the tag, which I did. A few min later a women picked the heavy item up & proceeded towards to front. I simply said one sentence. "Just letting you know ma'am, I already purchased that" she got upset & said no its mine (thats all that was said- I WALKED AWAY. I went to the front desk just to let them know I had the tag, no biggie, I guess she put it back. There was never an argument, making that clear. Just because she got mad doesnt make it an argument especially if I walked away lo!
#2 After my purchases I requested to have the item brought to back for pick up as I've always done. I get there and a nice man brings it out to me & I told him "I've got it from here my dog isnt nice" he thanked me and walk3d away. Its atm this women comes out and sticks a receipt in my face, literally & i said no thanks and giggled because there was at least 5 other pieces of paper on top of the table, she literally lunged into my space "again" & said "NO, TAKE IT, IT'S YOURS"
What in the world was wrong with her, ahhhh I noticed she was looking right at the sticker on my tail end of car- TRUMP! After her raging about dont come back to MY STORE again & arguing with my customers, I had to feel really sorry for her at that point, truely. I told her to get some help, that I'd be calling corporate and asked for the #, she snapped & said you figure it out!
What just happened here?
Goodwill, when you put unstable people in your store RAGING at customers, lunging at customers to take your receipt, demanding actually and grabbing the table and stuffing the receipt into the other pieces of paper it maybe time to evaluate her history with others! I'll betcha my paycheck she'll be on this review, making up that it was all me (not that I care).
This person claimed to also have been the manager for this store which is really, really scary for the staff if she is!
I will never go back to this store again...filthy clothes with stains too.
Shame on this goodwill not all are like this.
Id give no...
Read moreAfter being a regular customer since my move to Arden in November, spending over $50 per trip- always polite with everyone who works at the establishment- and always respectful of the products on display... I was a bit appalled at a situation and how it was just handled. The manager instead of taking responsibility for a mistake, as the leader, she embarrassed an employee for not knowing the process- and always expected us as customer to have understood a policy even a long term employee didn’t catch. Instead of an apology and offer for reparation. We now have to wait for a refund to our credit card, which is out of our hands. I’m honestly heartbroken to have paid for and gotten my hopes up for two beautiful velvet mustard chairs.
If a mistake is made, don’t hold your customer accountable. Be the bigger person and don’t put your employees poor performance on the spotlight. It reflects poorly on you and Goodwill as a whole.
Given the situation- lack of a ready explanation, inability to immediately resolve (wait for refunds to our card), and the mistakes made not by us having no understanding of a sold and not ticketing system... I think it would have shown an ounce of remorse by offering a gift card, discount... or even an apology and no attitude.
We will no longer be visiting this location, and it is quite a shame. I hoped to give the store much of the credit for helping me get my own business up and running.
Best of luck- find new management. Find a new process for removing sold items to your life storage area. Treat your employees with respect, the one you chose time disrespect in front of my fiancé and I told us been nothing but amazing each time we have come in. If I were him, I’d quit.
Word to the wise bud, I’m a recruiter- there’s better out there for you.
Goodwill... work on...
Read more1 star only for the sales floor guy. Went in to the Mills Gap store with my son and mother to kill time and see what was available. Have worked several customer service jobs over the years and was appalled at the level of rudeness we experienced. We own our own reno company and found the shop lights. The woman behind the counter rang them up then suddenly looked at her manager before she came and stated the lights were 2 per customer. There was no sign stating this so it was mentioned so we each planned to get 2. Then it switched to 2 per household. So we decided to still get 4 pjs vs the 6. The manager decided to argue saying i was not allowed to purchase because i apparently lived with my mother (i dont not). She made assumptions due to her failing to post signs about the light s and someone calling her out on this. She needs to go back through training for customer service over using her position to fuel her clear power trip. The man on the sales floor was helpful to try to help my son fund a nervous gun piece.but the "manager" and cashier at the register ruined the whole experience. They need to go through some form of customer service training to be friendlier.. Majority of the items i saw on the shelves were broken. Selling $200 dollar record players that were broken. Toys broken. I get the price bump but wouldn't be shopping due to manager and...
