Homegrown Catering — Local services in Asheville

Miki catered my rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks for my wedding this summer and she is absolutely wonderful! I decided a little last minute to add these events to the wedding itinerary and Mike was incredibly flexible. I told her what my vision was (family style, one big table, low key but a little classy) and she ROCKED it. My guests talked about the food the whole weekend and several of my family members have tried to recreate this carrot and goat cheese dish she made... obviously it's never been as good. She was also just really helpful with set up. My requests were really minimal but she knew I would not be able to help or be present and she was like "no worries, my staff has it." Even with all she had on her plate, she made it all work! 10/10- would recommend...

Food is great but they might bring a bunch of stuff on the day of your event without checking first (exceeding the number of guests btw), and then invoice you later. Really left a bad taste in my mouth to pay so much extra for overpriced stuff I didn’t even need (we could have used the supplies we had on hand), and wasn’t even warned about the mistake until they had already set it all up and it was too late. Didn’t even apologize for the screw-up in person or in email, just sent a bill. It really bummed me out bc everything else was fine.

Btw the check is in the mail so leave me alone. Don’t need two invoices with no note in the span of a week right after my wedding...
