This place is not transparent about what they offer. It is NOT an actual bed and breakfast. Super disappointed at the whole process. I called ahead of time for more information about a room same day and got voicemail. Left a voicemail and no one called me back. I tried to book through the actual bed and breakfast (found out they donât even serve breakfast after we paid, only bagels!) We saw that they were down to one room and needed a place to say so we attempted booking online (since no phone call back) but were shuffled through to booking.com which we found out later overcharged us by about 50.00. I asked the innkeeper about it when we arrived and she said there was nothing they could do and it was dismissed. Itâs annoying because I called them to book over the phone to avoid any confusing but they didnât answer and didnât call me back. When we arrived she greeted us and thatâs when we were told they donât even have breakfast. The entire reason for booking a bed and breakfast is because of the breakfast! The really terrible thing is that when we booked, special requests are taken at booking and we requested a no egg hot breakfast to which we received a confirmation email stating they would accommodate this at no extra charge. Thereâs no updates on their website stating no breakfast will be served nor anything about this on Google. In fact, the reviews still show a fabulous breakfast and here we were with nothing but bagels. Very upsetting. To make matters worse, this was our first getaway (in years) without kids to celebrate our anniversary and we only had one night to stay. We are extremely disappointed. We had to check out early to go find food due to my dropping blood sugar levels from lack of proper food options. Definitely do not recommend at all. We chose the only bed in breakfast in Asheville without an actual breakfast. We have had nothing but great experiences with other B&B options...

We were greeted by Cheryl who gave us a tour of the Inn and showed us where everything was and then showed us to our room on the second floor. The room was comfortable and clean. We didnât use the outside balcony due to it being wet outside. Our bed was comfortable and we appreciated the sofa to sit on to watch tv. and not have to sit in bed to relax after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. | The bathroom was adequate and original. We had to adjust the shower curtain so we would be able to access the handles to turn the shower on and reach our soap. This is a claw foot tub/shower and may be difficult for someone with mobility issues to get into. The toilet sits directly across from the tub with minimal space. The bathroom is large with lots of space at the back which is empty. | Delicious treats are provided each evening and are not to be missed! Wine was served Friday and Saturday from 4-6. Breakfast was amazing and served at 8:30am. Keurig coffee and hot tea are available 24/7. The âgoodâ coffee is put out at 7am each morning. There are plenty of available tables for two inside and outside. We are on the front porch. | The only issue we had was today. We arrived for the good coffee at 7:20am and no one was around. No coffee and no one preparing any. We decided to leave and head home. Not sure if Labor Day had anything to do with this, but we were looking forward to having coffee and breakfast one last time at the Inn. When we left at 7:45 the coffee had appeared but still no one in the kitchen making breakfast. Had we been informed that the holiday would change the timing we would not have been disappointed. | If youâre looking for a quaint spot just outside of busy downtown Asheville donât hesitate to book...
Read moreI simply love a good bed-and-breakfast. I love the comfy sheets, the warm and friendly host, the delicious breakfast. Beaufort house gets up five on the comfy sheets! But everything else was a solid 3. Nothing wrong with it at all... But, I was underwhelmed based on my previous experiences.
When we checked in, the host was fine. The room was fine. The bathroom did leave some things to be desired. There was not a good place to put your toiletries. We also had to climb into a very deep bathtub to get to the shower... If you are clumsy, like me, you may walk away with a couple of bruises.
The house itself was very pretty, and was decorated in a manner appropriate for the property. I would've liked to seen some warm blanket to sit out on the patio with, board games, or puzzles to pass the time. There was only one sofa, and it was not in a cozy little nook where you would want to hang out.
The food was fine. The menu is heavy on carbs and sweet breakfast treats. They were executed well enough. But there was not any particular breakfast that knocked my socks off. Again it was fine.
The location was very convenient to downtown Asheville. It would be a two minute drive or a 10 minute walk to downtown Asheville.
This bed-and-breakfast did not appear to be owned and operated by the hosts, rather an absentee corporation or business. I think that made the difference. Everything was fine, but it didn't have that touch of home that you expect when you stay at a bed and breakfast. For example, when we wanted to use the television, and needed some assistance, when we called the number that was left, the call was blocked. On a whim , we texted Fortunately, they responded right away. But ultimately, after 6 PM you are on your own in terms of staffing.
Overall, I can recommend Beaufort House, but I think next time I will try...
