Well, I just brought my less than one year old labradoodle in on Tuesday to get trimmed. Her regular groomer is in another state. It had been about 6-8 weeks since she had a pretty labradoodle cut last. When I talked to the groomer (mind you she told me that my dog needs rules first and foremost, because she was excited), we agreed to give her about an inch trim and to clean up her face and tail and blend it into her body and legs. When my boyfriend picked her up, our dog was shaved, including her legs. They said she was so matted that it had to be done. Not true. She may have had one or two, but her fur wasn’t even at a length where it could’ve gotten so matted that she needed to be shaved. I asked to make sure she had a hygienic shave, and the hair near that area on her stomach is longer than the hair on her back. Her shave wasn’t even done well. She’s gappy, there are places where you can see her skin and some patches where the hair is longer than every else around it. My boyfriend and I were so upset when we saw her. $70 for a 35 pound labradoodle to literally get shaved is excessive. She looks like she’s head heavy now. And she has been constantly licking her back left paw for the past couple of days. They said they waive all responsibility for her toe. Also, when my boyfriend called to discuss these matters with them, to give them the opportunity to make things right, they told him I specifically said I want her very short and that I said my boyfriend wouldn’t be happy with my decision. Words that absolutely never came out...
Read moreI have never taken my dog to a groomer before, and this was an amazing experience I was quoted a price that was right around what the actual cost was. The owners are really good people. I was advised that I should get a metal comb to use on my dog. They had such combs for sale there, but the owner understood that I was on a budget and suggested that I could get them cheaper at Wal-mart or Petsmart. Instead of looking out for themselves and the bottom line, they took MY needs into account, that just shows you the type of people they are. They explained everything to me in depth, and I felt they took great care of my dog. Paws down, I would recommend them to anyone! LOL I was so pleased with the whole experience that I set up our next appointment the day of our first service! Both groomers I met were friendly and knowledge as well. My dog is a doxipoo and his hair is like a poodle, it tends to get matted and when we have tried to shave him ourselves we are unable to reach all areas. (That is the only time our dog has ever growled or nipped at us!) Then for the next few days he is skid-dish around us. When I picked him the lady that groomed him was playing with him and he was licking her face! I could tell it was NOT traumatic like it normally is for him!!! I am so grateful that I took...
Read moreHonestly, I thought at first this was a spectacular place to be taking my two fur babies to get groomed, yet the last time they went, one of them had a SIGNIFICANT difference in hair length behind the head after a grooming. The policy for missing an appointment is to charge you 100% for the services you were not provided, all because you missed the appointment. I understand an inconvenience fee or no call/no show fee, but the entirety of what the service costed I paid for all because I had legitimate reasons for not showing up ONCE. Terrible customer service IMO. Things happen people have things come up and happen to them last minute. If someone were to have an appointment with them and got in a car wreck day of and missed the appointment, you’re getting charged for it? Policy doesn’t make sense. The entirety of using a service like this is to save someone time, but honestly, I think I can probably waste my time and do it all myself at home. At least then if I get busy and can’t do it I won’t have to worry about my card being charged for the full payment of a service I never...
