Aldi can be a good place to purchase your groceries. There are some good and not so good things about this location. The overall store and parking lots seem to be kept up. There is plenty of parking and an ample amount of carts to rent.
Before arriving at the store, view the Aldi flyer that is posted online. Compare these prices to the other stores to see if you are really saving that much money. It may not be worth going to Aldi if the savings are just minimal. Pay attention to the prices around the area, on the items that you normally buy, to see if the saving is worth the trip. Milk and produce items are some of the most competitively priced items here. Snack foods are somewhat cheaper than generic brands sold elsewhere. Prices will vary and can change as you are reading this.
Aldi store rules are a bit different from other stores. You will need a quarter to rent a shopping cart. Once you finish shopping, you can get your quarter back when you return your cart. Grocery bags will cost you here. Bring your own bags or cardboard box in order to gather up your purchases. Cashiers here do not bag up your purchases. You will need to do that yourself once the checkout is complete. Closing hours can vary. If the store traffic is slow, then expect an early closing for the day. You may arrive at the store later in the day, just to find out that the store has already closed.
The staff is not the friendliest that you will encounter. Staff and customer interactions here are very minimal. I have never seen an employee load groceries in anyones vehicle. If you need staff assistance regularly while shopping, then I would shop somewhere else.
Self checkouts are available at this location. I would highly recommend them. I have seen cashiers literally throw scanned in items back into the shopping cart. If you have sensitive items that you need to purchase, then there a good chance that they will get damaged. This is why I recommend self checkouts over a random cashier.
If you are more self-sufficient and find the savings to be justified on your purchases, then I would recommend the visit. If you like full service shopping, customer interaction and attention, then Aldi isn't the...
Read moreCheck your food to be sure it is not tampered with and that it is food safe. I have actually become ill from contaminated and tainted food. I’ve reached out to aldi support over and over due to food safety issues regarding food safety, with food delivery orders. I have been disregarded and sent in loops with my concerns when I directly address food safety concerns and support as it pertains to the twice as nice policy, and none of my repeated attempts have meant anything to them.
I love that I can purchase some of the organic food I need here, and I do shop here because I need to. The behaviour in response to my concern is unsafe and unacceptable. I would make the decision to shop at a more ethical, food conscious, and cleaner location when that...
Read moreWell, the prices were awesome on most items. Some were about the same as the bigger stores. They have a pretty good selection of cheeses and also fruits and veggies, I got some beautiful cherries, they're so good and fresh tasting, too. Meat and frozen food isles are not bad but not great, and still a bit pricey. Got 2 loaves of bread for the price of one in other stores, and their cereal and snacks are lacking a bit, but also reasonably priced. Not much in the way of canned veggies and other canned foods, just a few options to choose from like peas, green beans, corn and carrots. All in all, it's worth stopping in to get some staples, but you may need to plan a trip to Walmart or FoodFair for your meat and other...
