Service: Came in at noon to try out the new spot here. We were greeted at the door and seated quickly. Server was nice, checked on us plenty. If the servers made the tea, it was good. It didnt slap like the best tea but it hit so it was decent and came with enough ice to cool the warm tea. Also the atmosphere was beautiful and had plenty of TVs and other things to look at. 5 star on the service today.
Food: Got the jalapeno poppers as a appetizer. They were the kind with the dice peppers which are always better than the ones with the pepper sliding on on you and juicing up the whole popper. They left a good heat in your throat when they were gone and had good flavor but the star was the ranch.
The ranch was obviously made in house and was very fresh, maybe even made that day with fresh buttermilk. By far the best item we got.
I got the big nasty burger with mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was probably from frozen premade like golden corral only not as good.
The big nasty burger had a good bun, fresh and clean lettuce and tomato, cheddar cheese, onion rings, delicious pulled pork with tangy sweet barbecue sauce and a well seasoned thick burger patty.
The burger lost major points because it was served medium rare. It would have made a perfect steak but I don't get down with burgers like that. A small squeeze would send a small stream of blood oozing out.
My girlfriend got 14 medium wings with curly fries. Curly fries were pretty good, could have been hotter but had good crunch and seasoning.
Then there's the wings. They were done just right and had a slight crunch on the outside and the sauce was tasty but a little on the mild side. The bad part was the sauce was being washed off by the pool of grease hanging out in our basket.
To wrap this one up, I would have gave 5 stars but you lost a full star on the raw burger and a full star on the swimming pool of grease on the wings. I'd take an extra quarter star off if I could die to those being the main dishes. But everything...
Read moreI'm going to say they were just OK. The place was clean the atmosphere was good. There wasn't a host to seat you, just a sign telling you to seat yourself. So it took a little bit of time to get noticed and given a menu. Once noticed though, the waitress was great and attentive. Their menu has a decent variety of food: wings, burgers, salads, and other straight forward stuff you'd find at a bar/grill. For the wings they have 22 different sauces to choose from with a good variety of mild, sweet, savory, and spicy, with their hottest called "Wall" (due their "Wall of Flame" challenge.) The waitress offered to bring a sample array of some of the sauces to try, and a lot of them tastes very good. Liking spicy stuff, I tried the "Wall" sauce and I expected more out of it. It had a decent heat and flavor, but I've had much hotter elsewhere, so the challenge seems like it might not exactly live up to the hype they give it and the numerous pictures on the wall of those that completed it tells me the same. I decide to go with some traditional wings in their "Major Jerk" sauce, which is a tasty medium spicy Caribbean flavor, and they arrived SUPER fast after I ordered them. Which turned out to not be quite as good as it sounds, it was so fast they they couldn't have possibly been cooked fresh after I ordered them. They were warm enough, but just started to approach a point of being dry as it seemed they had to have been sitting for some amount of time. They were smaller in size compared to what I've had at Buffalo Wild Wings or even Slim Chickens, for around the same cost and they weren't even tossed in the sauce to fully cover them. They just put them in a basket and lazily dumped some sauce on top, so the coverage ranged from a lot of sauce on some to some not having much sauce on them. I think overall, it's not a bad place and I will try them again for some of the other stuff on the menu that sounded good, but not in...
Read moreWe ate there a few days after they opened and they were quite busy so the slow service was to be expected. Food that day was good. Today at 11:30 for lunch there were more employees in the building than customers so one would think that the service would be quick. It was not. It took the same amount of time to get our food and both of my wife's side dishes were room temperature. We hailed our waitress and she brought new dishes that appropriately hot. When we got our check we were charged for the full 1 lb. size sandwich platter instead of the 1/2 lb. that we ordered. On top of that we were charged for the 2 side dishes that should have come with the order that was suggested we should pay. The waitress took the check back to the manager whom I expect to see but instead 10 minutes later she brought back an adjusted check just as we had stood up to leave. I had put cash on the table for the original checks amount and left it and vowing not to return. You will pay money and the movies, watch what turns out to be a stinker and return. That won't happen at a restaurant especially when there's so many other...
