We live in Ohio 6 months out of year. Spent $4000 on two beds a recliner , loveseat recliner, and a couch recliner. The recliner frame was broken. The couch recliners do not recline all the way up anymore. we’re only here six months out of the year. So that’s year and a half of use. When I went to aric and complain to him about the furniture, he started yelling at me in the show room in front of his employees and said what the heck do you want me to do about it. So humiliating! have talked to Melissa several times. she sent repair guy out and he said the frame on the recliner is broken and they’re waiting for parts. Three years later, you’re still waiting for parts? I’ve called her number. I have text her number. No answer! And Eric said he will pay for parts I pay for labor. Why do i pay for labor? But i agreed to do so. The recliner was for my 90 yr father-in-law who couldn’t use it after he almost fell out of it. Then you deliver me a bed that is not the one I picked out and when I went back into the show room 2 weeks later. Melissa said we don’t keep same beds because we change them Out often. I showed her the receipt and it said Ohio bed in a box and she said she’s never heard of that before. Then there was some young kid there that came up to me and said is the recliner tilting to the right. Yes. He said aric sold you the floor models of the furniture. $4000. Then I spent another $5000 on Anderson’s flooring which is a family member. They did a great job!! the Anderson that showed up did not want any association with Eric at all. He actually rolled his eyes. So now I am taking my couch , loveseat, recliner to Goodwill after a year and a half use. Warranties do not exist. When the wrong bed delivered. he said I would have to go to warranty company if i want it replaced. Warranty? Why? I went to him two weeks after I purchased that mattress. I was willing to bring it back in so we can compare what I picked out and if I was wrong then I was wrong. But they ignored all my phone calls all my text messages to Melissa. And Melissa is such a sweetheart and I cannot believe she would want to be associated with this company unless she’s related. Their show room looks like a mess. Not at all like social media pics. My family keeps telling me let it go. It’s on Their conscience. guess I have to since they don’t respond to any of my messages. Eric even gave us some names of people that we needed for concrete work and tree cutting work. And none of them would work with us because they didn’t want to be associated with his name. Aric knows he’s scamming people and ripping people off. He doesn’t even have namebrand furniture. So now I’m gonna go to big lots furniture where I can get known name-brand furniture for half the price. I have never dealt with such...
Read moreA few months after the purchase of furniture the fabric tore. We notified the company to have repaired under warranty. After 3 weeks the furniture was picked up, repaired and returned about a month after the pickup. 3 days after the repair from a man I was told by the owner (Eric) had over 20 years in the upholstery industry, the furniture tore again in the same spot and some others places around the repaired area. The company was once again notified and has now been a 7+ month (since July 2020) battle to get any response from them. I reach out every 3 months to hear (from Eric) the same excuses for the delay. Mainly the delay is due to "government restrictions due to covid". "They're prioritizing repair from function to cosmetic". I've also been told it was because they "switched warranty companies". There are many complaints stating the same or similar problems about warranty repairs on Google/Yelp/BBB and other review sites dated before the outbreak of the virus. I was also told that I will get a call next week about having my furniture picked up for repair. That was last week, I never received such call. In conclusion I will not be returning for any other purchases from a company that doesn't keep to their word or try an uphold the honor of the "quality"...
Read moreStore front windows are not too inviting and the store itself needs to be cleaned up which is the only place this company loses a star. Beyond that all is good. Store owner Aric explained some of the things we should be looking for in good furniture and provided me with color and design advice as well as how to accessorize, that led to the purchase of a set that perfectly compliments my formerly eclectic living room without having to repaint and buy new curtains. He did not make promises he could not keep just to make a sale, and was up front about my delivery date, which was Tuesday after my Saturday purchase of this in-stock set. Delivery men were quite respectful of my purchase and my home, working carefully and covering the floor with several large blankets. At least 2 people who have visited me since my furniture arrived have indicated that they are also going to have a look at Furniture Towne as they are pleased with the...
