The Bakery on Main — Restaurant in Ashtabula

Not typical bakery..the smell of bread dough and bacon upon entry was intoxicating and the retro decor was cool👍We went in looking for 🍩🧁 but i saw none....they do sell soups and make special occasion 🎂 cakes and 🍪 . Only one bakery case available and we chose even tho no prices were shown . The Bacon cheddar croissants smelled great and were very yummy! 👍👍. Cinnamon roll frosting was like🧡 superior( I could have eaten just that!) but the roll itself was under baked for my taste. The Pepperoni roll bread to pepperoni ratio was way off like 4 thin slices in a 5 in roll 👎 The rustic sugar heart cookies had cinnamon frosting ....that overpowered the cookie flavor completely . The brownies were big and according to my boyfriend ...delicious. We got 2 🥐,2 brownies,2 cinnamon rolls,2 pepperoni rolls and 4 🧡cookies.(12 items $30.) I would return for croissants ....and cinnamon rolls . I would definitely like to try soup and the bread in...

Not impressed at all with the 3 quarter sheet cakes I purchased for a sweet 16 birthday party. When I ordered, the bakery asked what color flowers I would like. They suggested pinks and purples...I said that sounds fine and trusted their jusgement...(from seeing other cakes online they produced). Well what I got was far from color. The only color on the cake was the purple writing. Really couldn't decipher any flowers. Also the three different fillings were mediocre at best. There was a thick layer of the cake frosting and a very thin layer of a flavor gel?? One cake did have sliced strawberries, but again, on top of a thick layer of frosting. For $60 per cake, don't waste your money here!

I came in and had to wait 15 minutes with only two people in front of me before I could order. I ordered a bubble tea, it took 5 minutes to make and I got basically what tasted like watered down mango juice over ice? Every bubble tea I have ever ordered anywhere else is always flavorful and blended. I also ordered a loaf of their Italian bread, when I got home and went to cut into it the outside was rock hard, I couldn’t even squish it with my hands and had to saw through it with a serrated knife and the inside honestly tasted like cardboard.
