Several months ago, I went to get a price on a ring repair -- my engagement/wedding ring. I did not speak to Brian (the owner), instead a woman attending the desk gave me a price that was ... let's just say "ridiculous." The ring was cracked and needed the band repaired. White gold, 14K, moldavite stone with pink tourmaline and some diamond accent stones.
She told me they would charge $1,000 to do it, which was more than double what I paid for it new, to get it re-shanked. She was also rude and dismissive; she snorted when I told her the ring was white gold and then just said "Oh" after she'd taken a closer look at it and realized she was wrong.
I went to a place in Evergreen instead; they replaced most of the band for less than $250.
Not sure if she's still working there or not (I hope not for Brian's sake, he seems like he's got his act together based on these other reviews), but actually getting my ring fixed for less than 1/4 of what she quoted me really brought home how poor her customer service was. I'd ask to talk to him directly if you go in and get treated...
Read moreMy fiancé bought me a ring from a pawn shop in Chicago and it was too big. I came into the store looking to resize and it was immediately brought to my attention that one of the prongs holding the diamond was broken. This meant that my diamond could’ve fallen out with any slight bump. As someone that is out in the field working every day, I was so glad that this was caught. They did a beautiful job fixing the ring, and while the first resizing was too small at first (we didn’t take into account the weird shape of the setting), the second resizing which was only after a few hours from when I redropped off my ring came out absolutely beautiful. It fits perfectly and everybody was so kind and knowledgeable for a fair price! We will definitely be back for our bands, as the jeweler creates his own pieces that...
Read moreBryan and Angie were a delight to work with. We created a new custom wedding ring from an old wedding ring and an inherited ring. It was labor intensive work but it came together beautifully for a truly one of a kind piece. From CAD work to completion Angie did great keeping us in the loop and listening closely to ensure everything was exactly what we wanted. Bryan is obviously a master at what he does, he not only made the ring but had ideas that really helped enhance the design. Furthermore, when we were done with the ring we went upstairs to the gorgeous gun shop. It feels like a small museum and is wonderful to just look around. There is a large variety of guns and some are certainly collectors guns, old fashioned works of art, others are modern and colorful. You should...
