This restaurant opened in Aspen Park/Conifer a couple or so years ago. My wife went there with a visiting relative back in June 2025. They just had sushi and absolutely enjoyed it. She and I went here in August and she enjoyed it again and this was my first time.

The inside is bigger than it appears outside. There are booths and tables and it was pleasantly decorated. Their main offerings center around sushi and sashimi and various kinds of rolls, but for non-sushi patrons there are other dishes including ramens, Bento boxes, fried rice, noodles, teriyaki, and Katsu. They do offer alcohol on the premises too. If you are not fond of or skilled with chop sticks, yes, you can get a fork.

For an appetizer we had the vegetable egg rolls (comes with two) which come with a sweet sauce and enjoyed those. We only had water with our meal.

My wife had the vegetable tempura dinner entree (note: lunch ends at 2:30 p.m.) and she said for her it was enough food that she felt she should have brought some home.

I initially thought of having the chicken teriyaki, but was told it has dark meat for which I am not a fan, so I opted for the beef teriyaki instead. It was a generous portion, both tender and flavorful.

Both of our dinner entrees came with a salad, miso soup, and rice. The salad seemed to have a tasty ginger vinaigrette-type of dressing and we very much enjoyed the soup. Since we were both pleasantly full we did not try any of the desserts on this visit.

This is a very welcome option in the Aspen Park/Conifer area of Colorado. We plan to...

Used to go here pretty often when they first opened up, but then got a bad piece of fish and took a hiatus. Looked at the menu online today and called to order two rolls. When she told the total it was 50% more than the listed prices online. I told her that’s ridiculous and they should update it, but proceeded to place my order. Got home and one of the rolls that contains mango has such under ripe fruit I literally can’t bite through it. When I called and told them that the mango is inedible they told me “that’s just how we do it”. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this roll offering here, and it certainly isn’t the first time I’ve had mango in sushi. This is absolutely not how it should be served, and their lack of accountability is insane. They offered no reimbursement, refund, or compensation. I’ll be throwing this roll in the trash and back charging on my Amex. Pitiful how the few restaurants up here treat...

We tried Oyama for the first time tonight and will definitely be back! We’re so happy to have a great sushi & ramen restaurant in Conifer. I’m always looking for more quick and healthy restaurant options here, so Oyama is a welcome addition to the area. Tonight we tried the tempura udon and two sushi rolls, all were excellent. Everything tasted very fresh and the broth for the udon noodle soup was SO good. It’s obvious that the folks in charge are committed to using high quality ingredients. I also REALLY appreciate that all of the packaging for our takeout order was recyclable (this is a rare event for restaurants in the area). I only got a quick peek at the interior as I was picking my order, but they have done a really nice job creating a beautiful restaurant space. Looking forward to trying more menu items in the...

We had a great Valentine's Day date here enjoying delicious catapillar roll, seafood Ramen and teriyaki chicken with a pot green tea. The portion sizes are very generous for their reasonable prices. The staff is very welcoming, attentive and fast. They made sure we were taken care of the whole time we were there. I love the beautiful Japanese painting that spans almost their entire dining room wall. Their decor is clean elegant and spacious with comfy booths. The menu variety is great for sharing. We look forward to coming back for lunch and enjoying their bento box. Thanks for a great first time dining experience with you on our special day!
