We left Oakley here because Camp Bow Wow wouldn't board him because he did not pass his behavior interview, and I was desperate to find someone to care for him because I was leaving to Washington for several days. We showed up to inquire about their services and Eva as so nice and invited us to tour the facility and explained the services they offer along with a price brochure. You could instantly tell that she was an animal lover, and I felt trust in her. We scheduled a regular day of day care to see how he would do staying all day, and when I picked him up, he had a big smile. Yes, my dog smiles when he's happy and frowns when something is wrong or unhappy. So I was comfortable with leaving him from Friday to Tuesday morning, and yes pick up time is by noon, I would think this is like a hotel, there are check out times, so I was good with that and she asked if we want him to get an exit bath, and we agreed to that. I was so worried while I was away, only because I didn't want him to feel abandoned, so I called to check on him, and they gave me a happy report. They even posted a video of one of the days he played in the pool! When I arrived to pick him up at the end of his stay, he looked so beautiful. Oakley was smiling big and was happy to see me. His coat was so soft! We were very satisfied with Dogs Day Inn in Atascocita with all they did for our Oakley, and we will...
Read moreThis review is for Dogs Day Inn on Atascacita Road in Humble, Texas. I left my German Shepherd there for a few days and requested they give her a bath before I picked her up. I know all dogs are anxious when their owner comes to pick them up but my dog almost went through the window to get away from there. She had just had a bath so she was wet. That’s no big deal but she was going nuts pulling me to get away from there. Then I noticed that her eyes were extremely red like she had been choked. Her neck was very sore the next few days and she was exhausted. She must have drank two full bowls of water when I got her home. I’m very positive that they threw her in a cage and didn’t bother to make sure she had water then were very cruel to her and nearly choked her to death when they gave her a bath. This is not just a bad place it’s a dangerous place with very cruel people. DON’T TAKE YOUR DOG HERE EVER!
Across most all of the reviews on this awful place there’s one thing that runs through most of the reviews and that’s dehydration. Almost every review talks about how thirsty their dogs were when picked up. They are obviously just throwing the animals in cages and not bothering to even give them the basic need of water. That should tell you a lot about this...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I took my dogs to get bathed and groomed and when i went to pick up my dogs as soon as they saw me they ran to me and seemed relieved to see me so I paid and got out as quck as possible. When at home 10 mins later i realized one of my dogs was bleeding out of his toe and there was blood all over the floor and carpet of my house. I investigated and noticed that when they clipped his nail they had clipped it all the way to the very begging of the nail to a nub. I quickly grabbed him and stopped the bleeding took him back there and all they could say was, "sorry, it happens, nothing i can do for you unless you want to speak to my GM which gets back in on Monday and is here between 8 - 10 AM."
I then called and spoke to the GM and they aren't willing to even give me a refund after they had ruined my dog's nail, caused him pain and shock, allowed him to leave bleeding everywhere which there is now blood all over my car, home carpet and floors, and ruined a comforter and shirt i was wearing while i held him to bandage him. THESE IDIOTS ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND DON'T CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR PETS.
PS. I HAD BORDED MY DOG THERE BEFORE AND ONE CAME...
