This is a little late in coming but we simply MUST share our wonderful experience in dealing with Adcock Furniture and Design and with Senior Consultant Lisa Shockney in particular. I will start by saying that Athens, GA is a long, LONG way from home here in Southern Illinois so naturally when my husband found the incredible deals on our dream furniture, I was a skeptic ...but I have also learned to trust his judgement since he's the one who located our last two vehicles online and they too were halfway across the country. So, after doing the usual online paperwork (Lisa made this PAINLESS and EASY!!) we loaded up the enclosed trailer and started off on the 10 hour drive for living room furniture and I must say I was apprehensive as I know NOTHING about packing and loading expensive leather furniture. So many what-ifs, so many ways things could go wrong. Yet absolutely none of it came to pass! The minute we walked into the showroom in Athens and were greeted by staff our reservations just began to fall away. In fact, I only wish every similar remodeling issue we have come up against could have gone this easy. The showroom was expansive, immaculate and tastefully arranged with every attention to detail. The lighting was perfect. Lisa was just as warm and cordial in person as she was on the phone and was perfectly prepared to assist us. Even other staff not involved with our transaction took time to visit with us and ask if we needed anything. In addition to finding our leather furniture to be in perfect condition, we noticed a bedroom suit that we really liked and once again Lisa was flawless in answering our questions and working with us. I had concerns with the workability of a king bed in our given bedroom space and Lisa measured it off, did some math and assured me that it was going to be a perfect fit and she was 100% correct! When we got it set up at home I was so glad I listened to Lisa! But our great experience did not end in the showroom. With the paperwork finalized, we headed to the warehouse to begin the packing and loading process and once again my concerns just faded away. I only wish I could recall the names of the two guys who helped us. Will and Taylor? Sorry, guys but you are the BEST. I am convinced that whether a customer has loaded furniture before and know exactly what you are doing or like me, are a first-timer and afraid of ruining a leather couch, these fellows will make sure it is done right. Not pushy at all, just super patient and super efficient as a team. There were three other pickups that arrived at the loading dock at the same time as us and they juggled all of us with ease. The warehouse itself was also immaculate and spacious and everything was in order. I know this is a long winded customer review but honestly we found every aspect of our dealings with Adcock Furniture to be impressive and all of these things made such an impact on us so I feel it is much deserved. After a 10 hour drive spent wondering if we had lost our minds to be driving to Georgia for a couch, such a wonderful experience is truly a relief. If you need quality furniture and quality customer service, Adcock's in Athens is worth the drive. ...

My Husband and I went and shopped at Adcock recently and what a wonderful experience it was! Our sales associates were Lisa and her amazing Son Ryan. Lisa introduced us to Ryan and he helped us find a new bed at the best price possible. They were the first stop on our list of places to check out and we said we weren’t going to buy the first bed we liked without looking around. So after he showed us all our options I told him we were going to look around town first. He was totally fine with that and was not a pushy sales person like you find at many establishments like a Furniture Store. We went to Sleep Number, Mattress Firm and found that the prices were very similar but the small town family owned atmosphere was unmatched by anywhere else so we wound up going back to Adcock that same day and making our purchase with them. They have been a Family owned and operated store since it was opened and I love that! If we have any issues I can just go up there and not have to hassle with trying to get someone on the phone with a big corporation. I mentioned to Lisa about a recliner I had liked in North Carolina and she was able to find me one exactly like it and pull it up on an IPad so I could see what it would look like with the pattern I chose! That was awesome because you want to be able to see what you are buying. I highly recommend this Mother and Son team any day of the week! So if you are on the fence please go see Lisa or Ryan because you won’t regret it for a second! 5 Star service and just amazing...

Amanda did a great job letting us shop first and then answering our questions and helping us find a good match for a discontinued piece that we loved. It took a little longer to get what we ordered in from the manufacturer but that wasn’t a problem. Very easy to set up delivery and appreciated the call the day before giving us a two hour time frame for delivery. We also received a call about 15 minutes before their arrival. The delivery men were super nice and very professional. They had the furniture in quickly and put in the correct place. Our house is .3 miles off the road and very hard to get a big truck turned around. Since the driver had delivered here before, he backed the truck all the way down the driveway. He maneuvered the curves in an excellent manner! Great driver!

Nicole has helped us the past 4 times we have bought furniture. She has been very helpful in assisting us in finding just what we were looking for and also helping us return some end tables that just wouldn’t work. This past week we bought a new sofa and chair. She immediately asked exactly what we were looking for and from that she took us to a sofa that was perfect! From there she helped us find the accent chair we liked and then fabric that would match our recliners that we bought last fall with her help!
