WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT COME HERE. This is the first time I have ever written a review before and it's because I had the absolute worst, most unacceptable experience of my life here. I hadn't had a single issue with my IPhone before but one day I cracked the screen. I took it to C&CR in order to get the screen fixed. I told him that I wasn't sure if my phone was still under the one year warranty with Apple or not and he told me he could look it up. He looked it up and informed me that my warranty was up. (I later found out that my warranty still had about a week left but that I voided it by taking my phone to somewhere other than apple). So I asked him to replace my screen and he promised me that it would be done in 30 minutes and that he would call my friend when it was done. After an hour of waiting I still hadn't received a call so came in to check. He hadn't even started yet. So I left and an hour and a half later I still hadn't gotten a call so I called the store and he told me that my phone was done. I came in to get it and automatically tried to type a message on my phone only to find out that the keys were not responding to my touch at all. I told him about the issue and he said he couldn't fix it until the next day because they were now closed. He tells me I must pay right then though- and only in cash. I refuse to pay until my phone is fixed and after some argument I leave. The next day I come back and he re-fixes my phone. I pick up the phone and take it home only to find out that my sound doesn't work. I can't play music, talk to siri, or hear people when on the phone. So once again, I take my phone back in. He informs me over and over again how nice he is for fixing my phone for free (when he is the one who messed it up). So once again, I pick up my phone and take it home. I get home and a couple of days later my home button stops working. Extremely irritated at this point I take my phone to the Apple store. They take one look at the inside of my phone and tell me that someone has messed up my phone BAD. They refuse to do any service on it. So once again, I take my phone into C&CR and ask that he fixes my home button. He tells me over and over again that he had nothing to do with my phone having issues and says it's just a coincidence. After an hour of waiting and listening to him complain he finally replaces the home button only to find out that it still doesn't work. So he tells me that he will order a new home button and for me to come in the next day and he will have it ready. I leave and literally as I'm walking to my car I try to take a picture only to find out that my front and back camera are not working now… So I come in two days later and he says he still doesn't have a new home button (and apparently didn't have the decency to call me to let me know either). So I ask him to please call me when the new button comes in. Two weeks later I still have not received a call from him so I come into the store and ask him if the button is there to which he says it is. I then ask why he didn't call me to tell me to which he lies and says that he did call me and leave me a voicemail. I tell him about my cameras not working and once again, he "fixes" everything while complaining the whole time and telling me over and over again how lucky I am that he is doing all of this for free (even though he tried to charge me every time but I refused to pay for him to fix what he broke). He then tells me a story of how when he was younger he stole someone's camera and had bad karma for it. He tells me over and over that I am a bad person and that karma is going to get me, no matter how many times I tell him that I would only like to talk about my phone, not about karma. When I get my phone, the first thing I notice is that he has replaced my gold home button with a silver home button (annoying, but whatever). He then makes me sign a form stating that I will never come back into his store again. One week later, my home button, front camera, and back camera stop working. I now have to pay full price for...
Read moreI was very dissatisfied with the service I received and believe that the owner of the shop tries to take advantage of people who aren't knowledgeable about computers.
Regarding the quality of service I dropped my laptop off (with a non-working screen) at 11:30am on monday and was promised that I would receive a call with a diagnosis and an estimate to repair by 3pm. I never got a call so I called them at 5 and was told that they were behind and would call me back at the end of the day. This was fine by me and I really didn't expect them to be done with it that fast anyway. At 3 pm on Tuesday I still hadn't received a call from them so I called again thinking they might have called the wrong number. I spoke with Kash who told me that my non-working screen was caused by an issue with the motherboard and that it would be $275 to fix. I wanted to get a little more information as to what the issue and the repair entailed before I made my decision so I decided to go down to the store and talk to him.
When I got to the store Kash explained what the repair was but while he was explaining he made it seem like my laptop was completely broken. I thought that this was odd since I had been having issues only with the screen for a few weeks prior and the power light and keyboard backlight would still come on when I turned the laptop on. I wasn't sure if it was worth investing $275 in my laptop anyway because it is a few years old so I asked him what it would involve to get the files off. He told me he could get it for me today by doing a data recovery and that he usually charged $175 but would cut me a deal and do it for $125. At this point the situation felt a little off so I asked to see my laptop again. Sure enough the power light and keyboard backlight came on like before so I asked him if he wouldn't mind plugging it into one of the monitors sitting there just to see what would happen. He pulls a vga cable (one of those old blue cables with the two screws) off of a monitor and goes to plug it into my laptop. My laptop is a 2016 model year and I think the plug was thicker than my laptop. He tells me that "oh sorry your laptop doesn't have a port for a monitor"... This is incorrect as there is an HDMI port on the side. I asked him if he had an HDMI cable I could borrow to try and he said he did not. I didn't like the situation at all so I took my laptop home to try it myself. I plugged an HDMI cable into my TV at home and everything on my computer worked normally. I had no issues backing it up to my external hard drive. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have done the same and charged me $125 for it. I would think twice before bringing my computer or...
Read moreI was extremely disappointed in this service. I had a phone screen replaced here and that came out fine, so I decided to take my water-damaged MacBook Pro here as well. After Kash diagnosed the problem, and after he tried to talk me into buying a macbook from him (one that was four years older than the one I brought in) he talked me into allowing him to fix my MacBook. I was reluctant to leave it without shopping around and getting a second opinion, and I really wish that I had gotten a second opinion. Kash quoted me a repair time of maybe two weeks, and I ended up having to call him every week for about two months, mostly because he never called me back when he said he would. One day when we were talking, he told me to come into the store after two and he would be there. I did so, and he was not there, and the man who was couldn't do anything for me. My computer now is bent up and slow. I was not informed that I would be getting old parts, but apparently my once 2012 macbook pro is now a 2008. It is so slow, and the battery doesn't hold a charge. Granted, I called Kash about the battery and he told me to bring my computer back in, but I did not because there is no way I can trust this establishment. Kash talked me into leaving my computer with him, and I trusted he did that because he knew what he was doing, not because he was trying to rip me off. Some of the worst customer service I've ever received and absolutely the worst quality work I've ever paid so much for. I will have to get a new laptop now, anyway, unless I find another repair shop. 500 dollars...
