I do NOT recommend this salon. NOT professional people or professional results.
I had a horrible experience here. I decided to go after reading all of these fantastic reviews... but I'm wondering just how legitimate these are after my experience.
Well things didn't turn out so well. My stylist was Lucy. I asked for golden highlights which is what I originally had (though really grown out) and what I ended up with were super YELLOW highlights (if that) WAY lighter then my original hair color. Now when I first saw the hair color it was really hard to see this because the lighting was weird in the salon and I figured everything would look different once I was outside.
Once I got home it was a completely different story and I HATE it. Now not only does my hair have super YELLOW streaky highlights, but the roots don't match up!!
My hair actually looks worse than when I walked in!! I was in complete shock. I waited 3 days to see if it would settle in a different way after a shampoo and my own styling but it still looked terrible.
So what did I do? I called back and emailed to ask for someone to fix my hair, and that's when I found out that this salon owner Donna Means does NOT care to fix my hair. If someone messes up your hair, they do NOT want to fix it! Horror.
Any salon worth its salt SHOULD offer that you come back in for a consultation and a touch-up or do-over, full stop. They obviously don't care about their reputation as THE OWNER TOLD ME TO WRITE WHATEVER REVIEW I WANT. She couldn't even pick up the phone to call me!! She also didn't see my hair color IN PERSON or pictures. She apparently spoke to Lucy after I called back and said they gave me "above and beyond quality service." Unmatched roots/ yellow highlights / no toner used, now matter how you slice it, is NOT "above and beyond quality service."
Also - some of the staff that wash hair give very harsh shampoos. It hurt and they kept getting water all over my clothes and in my ears.
Really I wasn't asking for anything out of the ordinary here -- just what I paid for. As the client, I expect a gracious level of customer service and I absolutely didn't get it here. Believe me, I know when people are unreasonably difficult or downright mean-- I...
Read moreI went to this salon for the first time a couple of weeks before my wedding for a cut and balayage. The salon itself was nice and I could tell there were some great stylists and staff working there. I think my stylist's name was Erin, but I'm not positive. I'm not particularly tender headed, but I'm tall and she was petite, so she was pulling my head down the entire time and was rough when brushing my hair. Not only was it painful on my scalp, but it left me with a sore neck for days. At the point of drying my hair, I overheard her tell someone she needed help because she was running very behind on my hair before her next appointment. Again, with the rush, the drying was a bit painful. When I finally got to see my hair, it was MUCH more blonde and streaky than I wanted. I had brought in a photo and my hair looked nothing like it. She then proceeded to cut my hair and never showed me what it looked like in the back or ask me if I wanted her to do anything else. She just took a few photos of my hair and ushered me to the counter and said they'd make me an appointment to fix the color another day. I was there for five hours, only to have to come back again. Anyone who has gotten married before knows that the last thing you need right before you wedding is to waste precious time resolving a hair crisis. I was so upset, I left in tears. I still left a reasonable tip, which I kicked myself for after I left -- especially since that meant I then had to tip a second person when I went back. Again, being right before my wedding, an additional expense I didn't need, but I blame myself for that -- but I am just someone who always tips. On the bright side, Kim was absolutely wonderful and fixed my color the following week. However, the previous mistake did mean extra damage on my hair and my already easily-tangled hair has been completely unmanageable since. I've colored my hair for many years and it has never been nearly this bad. Based on the reviews, I really wanted to love my experience here, but it unfortunately just added a lot of unnecessary stress and time wasted right...
Read moreupdate: after leaving this review, the salon called me and allowed me to come in and get my hair fixed. Lindsay did a great job, it looks very blonde and there is no more orange or brassiness. I appreciate the customer service, it goes a long way!
I have been to this salon several times. I have never been happy with the result but I am not one to complain and have never found another salon I like so I kept returning in hopes that I would be satisfied. I got my hair done by Erin in August and was very pleased with the result. I returned to her about a month ago and asked her to do the exact same thing to my hair as she did last time. This time however, I was not as impressed as my blonde was very dull and ashy and not what I asked for and not what it looked like last time. I was not going to complain until I noticed strands of my hair turning so brassy it looked red. I even purchased purple/blue shampoo FROM THE SALON that the girl washing my hair recommended for me to use. I followed the girls instructions exactly on how to use and how frequently. After the red brassy getting worse and worse, I finally decided to send the salon an email with pictures of the red streaks in hopes of maybe getting at least that part fixed. Just got off the phone with the salon, the girl was very rude and said they are not able to do anything about the red streaks but I can come in and spend $50 on a toner to try and fix it. She also said the red is probably my own fault from using the purple shampoo too frequently that was recommended by the salon. This does not make sense to me because I thought the whole point of purple/blue shampoo was to take away brassiness. Not add more. I also have not used this shampoo a lot in the past two weeks and my hair is getting more and more brassy. Bottom line is, won’t be back. This salon is extremely overpriced for not being satisfied every time and not offering to help with a...
