It was my first time eating there and I was quite satisfied. I am heavily influenced by Asian culture, particularly in my foods and enjoy infusing a lot of their style and flavors into the way I cook my own soul food. So having an authentic Korean BBQ place accessible to even Athens is pretty amazing to me! 😊🥳
Of course, because of this the prices are expensive. 😳Expect to spend between $24-31/person ($18 for kids I believe). Priced for lunch or dinner only. Drinks and desserts separate. Gratuity is also automatically added. A certain percentage under 4-6 people and higher if over. Additional tip is on you (which I'd still advice you do-it is their livelihoods unless poor service which I doubt). However, you can certainly get your money's worth.
It's an all you can eat type of menu with variant selection of meats. The sides are included with rice, which are also unlimited. So, if you're going don't waste your money and time if you've already eaten through the day. You'll want to enjoy the full benefits. I didn't know how this worked at the time, but I lucked out as I hadn't eaten the whole day until I got there because of running errands 😁👍🏾.
Was so impressed at the food and service, I called my son to come join me half way through. He's a teenager and it was a great first experience for us both to share. The server, Seul was an awesome young lady and very attentive. The tables do come with a call service button if you need, but I never had to use it as she was sure to come and check back.
Ambience is comfortable and open, a few booth settings but expect to be somewhat immersed with the other guests if it's busy as an open concept. I mean, it is a table BBQ, needs to vent. 😉 Each table has it's own ventilation hoods too. Although not fancy, was pretty clean (including the restroom) and loved how they played Korean music video channel on some of the TV's 😄. I'm a K-pop fan a bit.
Hope you get to enjoy it at least once whether visiting the area or live in...
Read moreI wish I could give it zero stars. Do not go here.. find another.
You got our money today but you'll never see another dollar of it in the future. What a horrible experience and horrible customer service.
First, there were 5 of us and they forced a 20% gratuity on us... guess good customer service doesn't matter as long as there are a couple of you. Everywhere else is 6-8 and it's CLEARLY WRITTEN so everyone knows. Sorry but 5 is not a "party", not by any means. Two of the 5 were children.
Second, we went for lunch but one of our so-called "party" wanted shrimp, which was only available for dinner prices so, he ordered it. We figured 1 dinner, 4 lunch... what's the big deal? Well, if one pays for dinner, EVERYONE pays for dinner. This is the little surprise they like to drop on you when you get your bill.
So what would have been an enjoyable experience became a nightmare. That's a $90+ lunch... for lunch.
I spoke to the manager and with all his de-escalating skills (zero) his great talent managed to muster up the skill to say "It's not my rules, it's the owners. I just have to enforce them."
Really? Surprises on your bill are the rules that you enforce?
Anywhere else I have ever been, if there has been the slightest hint at something not right, the server (not the manager) bends over backwards to fix it or comp it. Not here.. they want your money. All of it.
Sorry but I'll go back to your competitors. I'm in Athens all the time but I'll find a different place to go from now on. Your competitor is really busy and plays music that is far too loud to hear others at the same table but they are friendly and actually care for their customers. Not you.
Like I said, you got extra money out of us today but you'll never see another dime in the...
Read moreWe had a late birthday dinner for our son and had set up reservations for a party of 6. This was our first time eating a restaurant like this, so we didn’t know what to expect. We were seated at a table with only one grill. This made it difficult to cook food fast enough so that everyone could eat something. We could only cook small amounts of food at a time. As we looked around the restaurant we saw other tables that had two grills on them. We all wonder why we didn’t get a table with two grills since we did book a day before and had 6 people. I felt very discriminated against because those tables were not offered to us. They only give you two hours to eat if you order the buffet, so for 6 people to be full you gotta cook pretty fast, and that’s hard to do with one grill. The grill kept getting burnt and we had to wait for them to change it out. Also we had barely any room for drinks, or our plates. The tables are very small. Very irritating and inconvenient. This was the worse experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant before. I don’t recommend going if you’re a Black American family. I didn’t feel we received quality service with seating because of our race.
In addition, I try to explain that I eat keto friendly foods and this restaurant had sugar on just about everything. So if you’re looking for a keto friendly restaurant keep going because this...
