Carter Vu Salon — Local services in Atlanta

I scheduled a men's hair cut with Bonnie earlier this evening. While the style of the cut wasn't exactly what I meant in our conversation prior to starting (I showed a picture and just asked for the sides to be a little more parallel than in the photo), it could have been a bit of miscommunication on my part.

Beyond that - the cut was aggressive. As in, my ear was raked repeatedly by combs as she tried to pull my hair down (it's really straight hair already- I've never had that happen before). Then the thinning shears came out, which must have been DULL because it's been years since I've had that much tugging happen while a stylist thinned me up.

In general, the cut isn't what I came for, the cut was borderline painful, and she had to ask the owner, Carter, to come salvage what he could (which, even after she repeated she would start long so it could be cleaned up if we wanted, he wasn't able to do much with because of how short she had already taken it). I could see Carter giving a better cut if he'd been the one who started it, but I'm not going back...

Very upset with a bait and switch that occurred at Carter Vu. After purchasing the Groupon for up to $69 of haircut/blowdry services, I was told in store that I would have an extra $25 charge because my hair was "long" (hair was at armpit length). The stylist was hard to understand (foreign) and I thought she said $5, and repeated back "$5? For what?" "Oh, because hair is long, extra charge is on our website". I agreed to the silly $5, she cut it, and at check out charged my card for $25. Remember, I had a Groupon covering up to $69 of haircut/blowdry expenses. After leaving the salon, I checked the website and found no such extra $25 fee, in fact the highest price a haircut can be is $69. When calling to ask for a refund, I was hung up on by the manager.
