Great restaurant/atmosphere with Horrible parking! This place is off Piedmont road at the start of Buckhead in the Peachtee Hills area. For those that are familiar with Atlanta. It's to the left of where the Imperial Fez used to be. The only way to get to this restaurant is to go down this hill that opens to ba parking garage on the right and a parking lot on the left. There is one way in and one way or so be careful. As a result of this horrible parking we were late for our reservation. However, they still accepted is because they understood the situation. Plus we tried call but nobody answered. We finally made it into the restaurant and were greeted by well dressed patrons with cool music playing. The space is decorated with Vinyl albums, Old floor model TV's and a overall cool vibe. The menu consistsb of 5 courses but you don't have to follow each course. I had the flash fried Conk with a scotch bonnet pepper sauce. It was a little sweet and spicy. It was very tasty. I ordered the short rib w/ sweet potato puree and carrots. The meat was tender and very flavorful. The waitress did pre-warned me that sometimes the meat is overcooked. So it is a hit or miss. However today it was a hit! My boyfriend ordered the the palancita. I know I said that wrong but it is a large grilled pork chop that is in the shape of a c. It is very meaty but it is also very fatty. Nevertheless it's very tasty and feeling.the overall experience was very good however I wish they did have more options on the menu. I did see a red snapper that everybody was ordering that looked tasty and I may try that the next time I go back. I also ordered a cocktail the price was about 12 to $14 for cocktails. The one that I ordered had gen and elderflower in St germain. That was wonderful however the second one that I ordered which looks like a sangria it tastes like diet kool-aid. I would suggest nobody ordered that is not good it has wine and something else in it it's not good. But I think you should try apartment 4B I will be going back if not for the food for...
Read moreThis place was a breath of fresh air! From the vibe, ambiance, and menu, it's a transformation to a chill food oasis. Now, finding it was a bit of an adventure, but a helpful person pointed my cousin and I in the right direction. I made a reservation because I heard it gets really busy here, but when we arrived, it wasn't too busy, which was good! They had the afro beats blasting, which I loved and had me vibing before we sat down! Once at our table, we scanned the qr code to view the brunch menu, which had some great items! I ordered a cocktail, which was excellent! It was refreshing, and I truly enjoyed that. We then ordered a jerk chicken omellete, island goddess salad, lobster shrimp and grits and turkey wings to go. My cousin enjoyed his omellete and from the small bite I had, that omellete was outstanding! The eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy, and between the jerk chicken and cheese, it made for a delectable bite. I knew it was good because my cousin ate all his food! I had the island goddess salad and lobster shrimp and grits, which were outstanding! By the time I finished my grits, I was licking my fingers! I don't normally like nuts in my salad, but those candied pecans were the surprise sweetness I never thought a salad could have. It was a nice pop of sweet and crunchy, which I enjoyed. Now that lobster shrimp and grits was out of this world! I literally had to take a nap afterward because it was that good! That sauce the grits were smothered in was so flavorful, I could just eat that by itself! Those grits were so creamy and smooth that between that, the sauce and the seafood, I was in heaven. Every time I went in for a bite, it kept eating better and better. Plus, with the small amount of green onions on top to add a hint of freshness, it was sublime. Our meal was a nice decadent treat, and we will definitely be returning in the future! Pleasant vibe, friendly staff, and great decor to set the tone for a great meal. This restaurant came highly recommended by friends, and it more than exceeded our...
Read moreVisited Saturday evening with my family. It was a little difficult to find, as it's located on the backside of a building and there wasn't much signage. We had a 7pm reservation and although our party was late, they still honored our reservation. Until the rest of the party arrived, my fiance and I sat at the bar. I ordered a 4B Reservation, he ordered the Clase Roja, and then we got the oyster mushrooms as an appetizer. Both drinks were good with a nice pour size. The oyster mushrooms were good but could've been fried a little harder. The rest of our party finally arrived, so we closed out our tab, and joined them. There's a large table in the front with a card game that asks questions, and we answered some of those until our table was ready. We were greeted by our server and given a quick run down of the menu. While we looked over the menu from the QR code, we were offered water; tap, still, or sparkling. We placed our orders and I also ordered another drink, which was delivered to me by the bartender. They have an open concept kitchen, so while we waited for our food, we were able to see some of the other food being prepared. Below is the food ordered and the individual feelings of the food. Jerk chicken salmon - good, but portion size wasn't good for the value Cesar salad - good, but didn't like the fact that she had to chop her own salad. The salad looked good to me, but I understand her thought process Seafood curry - good, but rice was undercooked Vegetable curry (me) - good with plenty of veggies, but rice was undercooked. If you like spicy, I recommend asking for it like I wish I had. Red snapper - he loved it and had no complaints
We were celebrating my future mother-in-law's birthday, so we received a complimentary champagne toast. Overall, it was a nice experience. Lovely ambiance and decor. Good service, good drinks, good food. Plus it's black owned, so definitely...
