Ruined my birthday. I took a day off of work and booked a massage & facial appointment. After I was already naked on the massage table and waited 15+ minutes, the masseuse comes in and says they can’t treat me. Someone else comes in (I’m still lying there naked) and claims I listed I was actively going through skin cancer treatment on my facial intake form but not my massage form, so due to the discrepancy they’re confused and can’t give me any treatments. I’m not actively going through any treatment - I had a few skin cancer excisions over 5 years ago and just checked the box of “skin cancer” on the intake form of medical conditions when I booked the appointment, assuming if they had an issue they would ask me before arriving or before doing any treatment. Why would they allow someone to book 2+ hours of treatments worth over $300, show up, take all of their clothes off, and wait on a table just to turn them away? I clarified that I am not actively receiving any skin cancer treatment with the person who came into my room multiple times. They said I was a liability and without a doctor’s note they couldn’t perform any services on me. I reiterated it was my birthday and this was extremely upsetting and disappointing, and also asked why they didn’t call me before the appointment to discuss this concern - no answer. They didn’t offer me any other services (they have a full nail salon) and just shrugged and said sorry we can’t help you. I’ve had countless professional massages where the masseuse asks me about my health, confirms I’m not in any active treatment or in pain, and then proceeds. This spa made me feel like garbage on my birthday with their major lack of professionalism and...

Avoid this place. I scheduled a massage online, but the receptionist called to reschedule because the therapist had a “family emergency.” I asked if we needed to change days, and she said no and just pushed my time back an hour. I then got three different emails with different times and had to call again to confirm. She assured me the appointment was at the updated time. When I arrived, I checked in and waited 10 minutes before asking about my appointment again. Only then did the receptionist mention the therapist had texted that she was stuck in traffic. Was the plan to just let me sit there indefinitely?

I’ve been enjoying this salon/spa for mani/pedis for over a year. Always kind and professional service from Joyce at the front desk. The technicians I work with are Corinna P and Michael Le. I strongly recommend them because they’re both highly detail-oriented technicians, REALLY want you to leave happy with your results and are kind, professional, (and cool) people. I always leave the salon feeling chill and with great looking nails. BTW, The salon typically does the mani and pedi at the same time so you're not there for hours on end.
