Update: I originally put 3 stars for my first visit, because the scone was really good while everything else wasn't good. I decided to give them a second chance this weekend and I was VERY disappointed. I tried a lavender cupcake, a lemon scone, a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. The cupcake was alright. The scone was eh. The breakfast sandwich was where I had the biggest issue, along with the customer service. So I got a 'sausage egg and cheese' biscuit. The biscuit was SO dry that it literally began breaking off in chunks just by picking it up to eat it. I couldn't eat it because the dryness made it completely fall apart. When I made them aware of the problem, I asked if maybe they could just give it to me on a bagel. The girl said okay. Then she came back and told me that they were actually just going to toast a bagel and then bring it out and have me reassemble it. I thought they were handling it well the first time by saying they'd remake it all together and give me one that wasn't falling apart from being so incredibly dry. But when they said they'd actually just give me a bagel and have me transfer the messy combo myself, that was silly to me. I decided I'd just accept that but then they took FOREVER to bring the bagel out. We ended up just leaving because I waited so long for a bagel, that the 'sausage egg cheese' part became cold. After 8 minutes of waiting for a simple toasted bagel to come out, we just decided to leave.
I'm not coming back. When you see that you served a customer something SO DRY that it is literally inedible and BREAKING APART, you'd think it'd be common sense to apologize for it and give a fresh new one that's actually done right. That's not what happened. Poor service. Dry food. High prices without...
Read moreI was super eager to visit this spot after stalking it for a couple of months and drooling over the photos. I finally visited here this past Sunday and my first visit will fortunately be my last. It was a total disappointment and told me all I needed to know. First it was kinda difficult finding the place since it isn't clearly marked and the sign they have up it rustic looking and faded. The customer service was a slap in the face, when I asked the representative about an item, I was told to scan the bar code and look it up, mind you there was no one else waiting to be served.... I then ordered the egg, bacon, avocado & aioli dry biscuit with cheese grits and my friend ordered the dry sausage biscuit with plain grits. My friend isn't plant based nor is he vegan and I was excited for him to give it a whirl. He took one bit of that dry sausage and cheese biscuit and later went to the BBQ spot a few doors down to meet his needs. He didn't find an issue with the grits after adding like 6 packets of sugar to it. I thought he was overreacting like most meat eaters do so I took a bite of the biscuit for myself. I couldn't even swallow the bite I took, fortunately my biscuit was better and it wasn't even amazing. My grits were ok considering the fact that it had no flavor and i should of added my touch to it.. There was no flavor or pizzazz in it at all, it was a no for both of us. We also purchased a lemon and a strawberry scone, the strawberry scone was good but the lemon one did nothing for me. Overall, I was very disappointed and over it. If you're a person that loves flavor and personality, this is not the spot unfortunately. Good thing there are many different choices here in Atlanta, just an honest review of my...
Read moreTo start off our experience here was nothing short of pleasant, however there were a few down sides to our visit. The first is there's limited parking, we ended up parking at the Valero across the street from the bakery in order to visit, so either come early or just prepare to park at the gas station.
The second is Cashless payments, for those who don't know they do not accept any Cash payments (tips are the only exception lol) they DO have TAP & PAY if you all were wondering so that's a plus.
Alright now here's my slight complaint, nothing too major but still. The medium pumpkin latte coffee was a bit small for it to be a medium (12oz cups) in total the coffee was $5.85 + $0.60 for the oat milk & $0.75 for the pumpkin, however it was still a tasty coffee.
The Cheese grits cup was more like a cheese grit block lol I thought they were going to be more on the creamy side of at least loose to where I could stir em up but that wasn't the case. I'm not able to tell you all how they taste since I never ate em, I personally don't like grit chunks.
The bacon egg & cheese sandwich wasn't the best, in my personal opinion it lacked soul/flavor however that Sausage egg and cheese on the biscuit bread is worthy of second purchase. The cinnamon rolls were pretty decent as well, I like em better than Cinnaholic's cinnamon rolls.
Is it worth a second visit? Yes we'd definitely come back for their pastries and the Sausage egg and...
