I couldn’t wait to get to Poppa Corn today. My sister picked me up and I treated us. She got Med Cheese and I got Med Chicago Mix, which is Cheese and Caramel. Being from the Chicagoland area, I had my phone out to order Garrett’s online when I found out about this place. The store is so cute but for my taste, I couldn’t taste the cheese. At Evergreen Plaza in Chicago your fingers would be yellow from the cheese. I think that I am going to grab a bag of Cheetos and pick the Caramel out of the bag and mix that combo. Cheetos have more cheese than this Cheese Popcorn. I will still support but I think in the future I will downsize and order a small Caramel and mix it with Cheetos. I did not mind the $40.00 price tag if it was amazing but it is good only with some doctoring up. A rich savory salty cheese and the buttery caramel is the key to Chicago Mix. Done correctly , it is the ultimate sweet and savory treat. I saved this treat for my cheat day and I don’t think this treat is worthy of me waiting all week to have it. A little...
Read moreI can NOT say enough good things about this place. I’ll start with the most important - the popcorn. Always fresh, always delicious. As a frequent patron of popcorn shops I will tell you that the quality can be spotty. NOT so with Poppacorns! Every time I go, I experience the same cheesy, savory, sweet and yummy goodness of my first visit. I am simply addicted and I have to force myself not to go there as much as I would if calories didn’t matter! I usually order their extra cheesy (which is a stain your fingers with atomic orange kind of good), extra buttery (the same, just yellow), the cinnamon (tastes like it’s made from red hots candy - SO good yet SO hard to find in GA), and for my better ½, the cheesecake and strawberry mixed (he loves it). I’ll end by mentioning the people who own it and who work there. Some of the kindest, friendliest, most helpful people you could meet. At a time when customer service is a rarity, they stand out and shine! Finally, why are you still reading this? Get...
Read moreI'm not really a fan of popcorn because it gets stuck in my teeth, however my daughter loves it. So one day after spending a couple hours playing at nearby Coan Park, we noticed this new cute lil shop on the way home. We had to stop and check it out. They have a ton of candy and huge assortment of popcorn, which my daughter absolutely loved. The mini size was still a very generous portion. The owner was there and friendly and had a kid from the neighborhood working there, which i was pleasantly surprised to see. We tried the Cotton candy (only because it was pink) and the caramel. The carmel was actually really good, but the cotton candy was a little weird tasting but...
