Today I arrived at 11:58am to this establishment that I had only heard about through word of mouth but knew it was a black owned establishment but I wanted to support. The establishment had one worker arrive at about 12:05 PM when they open at 12 PM. None the less I sat in my car until about 1215 PM, I noticed she was sitting at the reception area using her cellular device so I assumed she was ready. I went in and she proceeded to tell me she had a 12 PM and a 1 PM so she personally could not help me at this time which is now about 1220 PM and no one is there but me and the associate. I proceeded to ask her was there anyone who was coming in... she assumed I meant customers i dont know why. She said my 12 and my 1 PM, and I said I mean other makeup artists? She said she was the only one that will be in shop today and proceeded to tell me the hours of operation. First off your establishment is not open to the public if you have one artist and that artist has appointments booked you should be appontment only. Secondly your approach to a customer that you have never seen should be one of undue care since every person is a potential customer!! I will not support this black owned business or let it ruin my future experiences with other black owned businesses. This is not race related or anger driven, this is an instance of poor business morals. Then the owner responds with color of skin having nothing to do with 5 minutes late and that cinco de mayo was why they were booked for appointments. Maybe they should put that on their websites that appointments are highly recommended or that the associate working should have said sorry this is a really busy time for us. She did not and the 5 minutes late should be more concerning to her as the owner since you know it is YOUR business :-) Hope's she find some customers, and applies some better practices in her...
Read morethe two star rating is based on the poor customer service. i got my lashes done on a wednesday which was suppose to be $19 only but ill get back to that in a second. the girl who did my lashes stayed on her cell phone the entire time and barely had any communication the entire time. when i payed i specifically answered no regarding a tip because im not tipping for poor service she told me a receipt was emailed to me, and i never got a receipt, but somehow when i look at my statement i was charged $20 instead of $19. i would call and dispute the charge, but its not worth my time for $1. all i can say is look at your statements after going here because they steal. i definately wont be going back, and the owner was also there and wasnt warm or friendly. this is why small black owned businesses dont get alot of my support because of the poor customer service and now they...
Read moreThis shop came highly recommended by a friend however the person she used was booked. So I used Milan I. Believe it was and before I knew who she was when she walked I said to myself please don’t let this be her! When I say presentation is everything her work was just like she looked .. measy!!! She looked like a hot mess coming in the door, from her hair to her outfit just messy I am not happy with it all. She didn’t wash her hands before starting on me and her hands and breath smelled like cigarettes or something…And when I ask her to correct something, she proceeds to tell me that she has other customers after me, I had to give this place. A star in order to leave the review but as for the girl that did my face she zero negative minus stars.I appreciate the managers quick responses to and willingness to correct this...
