Public House 28 — Restaurant in Atlanta

I like this place. It's like a little hidden gem. I wanted to give higher marks but this last visit was slightly disappointing. I will go again maybe was just off day.

Parking: Limited. I have not been when there has been a crowd like on game days so I have always gotten a space. I could see where if crowded it would be a problem.

Food: Menu is online. Not extensive menu but ample selections. Some are worth repeating on every visit.

I have had the wings, rib eye steak, hamburgers and Brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes fries. This is a bar/ restaurant so I have enjoyed mixed drinks here too.

Every meal has been tasty. The last visit my steak came out well done instead of medium. They happily replaced with one cooked medium.

The burger and wings were good too. Sweet potato fries cooked crispy on outside and soft potato inside....yummy! Definitely would order again.

Service: Usually very good. This last visit was severely off. Wondered if person was new or had something else going on to keep.from remembering things. Several times we had to remind the person to bring what was missing. Even though it was not crowded that day, we gave grace. But this is why I couldn't give perfect stars. I think it was the owner who thanked us for coming. I hope it was just a fluke because otherwise great place to get a bite.

Atmosphere: Inside bar with plenty of tables. TVs available.

Outside: Patio available. Dogs welcomed.

Inside and out are kept clean.

The food took way too long to come out. One of our guests received their food 15-20 mins after the rest of our party finished eating, which we felt she should have been comped however the manager decided to argue with our group about the fact that they were not equipped to handle our party because they were short staffed. We were the only ones in the restaurant r with the exception of 2 ppl at the bar. The manager proceeded to say about how he had to come in late because it was his only day to get a haircut. We did not need to know that information. He could have simply comped the one item and been done with the conversation and provided good customer service. Our waitress did the best she could. There was no fault on her end but we were extremely disappointed with management. And then the worst thing about it is this business in situated in an all black community but provided terrible service to black patrons that spent quite a bit of money in this establishment before they offered such terrible service. Do not patronize...

We came in. It took us 30 minutes to have our order taken. Then, had to wait another hour for our food and they weren' that busy. When the food came out they forgot one of our meals. The chicken tenders came out so burnt, they were almost inedible. The tater tots were cold and so undercooked they were inedible. The toddler who loves chicken kept spitting out his chicken so his mom tasted it and it was so salty you could not eat it and the burgers didn't have all of their toppings on them. The owner was behind the bar drinking and socializing the whole time. He and another employee ordered, received, and sat to eat their food all while we were still waiting for ours. The poor waitress seemed to be the only one doing anything and was being run ragged doing all the cleaning and waiting in the whole restaurant while others sat around.
