This Waffle House is one of three in the Metro Atlanta Area that has gone DOOR DASH DELIVERY ONLY!
You cannot call in an order, you can't walk up and order, they've taken out the booths so you can't even go inside and sit down anyhow. On top of that, they don't even have any registers to ring you up even if you could order. You can only have your order delivered through door dash, period.
It amazes me the amount of people who don't see the HUGE ash signs all over the W.H saying it's Door Dash Only, and yet people still pull up trying to order AND actually want to ARGUE with them folks like they are going to break down and take thier order just because they want to get loud.
DOOR DASH ONLY.
The next nearest WH to this one that you can sit down or order to go would be Howell Mill Rd I believe.
In any event, I mostly know the late night 11-7 crew, and let me tell you, THEY ARE SOME ROCK STARS.
You have to understand WH doing DD deliveries is still a new thing, maybe 4 months old, so best believe it can get Busier than a cross-eyed air traffic controller....(too soon? My bad đ) so you're going to have to have a little bit of patience, especially on the weekends.
But, they sling out orders like frisbees and they are very efficient, productive, and a well oiled machine when it's one of those $10,000 dollar shift nights, 30 tickets on the rack, 20 drivers in the parking lot making it look like Club Waffle House. They are expected to by the powers that be, and rarely ever have anything less then 100% accuracy.
If there's a problem with your order, such as it not arriving, or being messed up inside the bag, or almost any other problem, it's more then likely the drivers fault, even if it happens multiple times, put your bet on the drivers when you're calling WH and or DD about your food.
The ticket pops out, it's taken and read out to the cooks, who sometimes no lie be 6 people deep on the grills shoulder to shoulder KNOCKING THESE ORDERS DOWN, each person has thier own station part to cook for the meal and it's an amazing show of teamwork, production, efficiency, proficiency, dedication, determination, and sheer will power to bang these orders out in a timely fashion and correctly for not only your sakes but the DD drivers who get it to you.
We're all in this together in this dance of getting the party started in your mouth when you're food arrives, so please recognize each phases role in this production of sustenance and that each has its part to play from you ordering through DD, to WH preparing it, to your driver delivering it to you, just remember that when you want to snap on WH for something in the chain getting messed up, it's more then likely not thier fault, they are way too "by the book" to allow very many mistakes to slip through (to affect thier bonus's....jk...probably...lol)
They are good at what they do, and they do it right. If you order from here the only thing you'll have to worry about is how long its going to take to get to you and if it will be cold or not because some of you are kind of far away and DD heat bags SUCK and really are just for looks.
One final note about this amazing WH is that, they really can't be giving out extra condiments. For all you people that be all like, PLEASE GET EXTRA KETCHUP AND WH SAUCE AND HOT SQUCE AND MAYO AND BUTTER AND SYRUP AND.....no.
And I Quote: "We can't be giving out extra condiments if it's not an item on the menu you can order".
Which means, they are eating those food costs of all those little packets they give you for free, and you know how it is, profits and all.
You can TRY and ask your DD driver to get something, just know you're probably setting them up to look stupid asking and getting told that in front of everyone
If you ask your driver to get you something, and they don't respond, and you don't see any extra whatever in your bag, they probably already knew what the answer was going to be and just didn't tell you
BUT IMS HERE TO LEARN YA TODAYS!
I have to end my rant now, Google says there's a text limit.
TIP YOUR DD...
Read moreThe absolute worst waffle house experiences I have ever had. Either the reviews below are from lucky one offs or are from the inside. Where do I begin?
Consistently they up charge food for no reason. I'll go ahead and chalk this up to either dim witted employees or trying to take advantage of the late night crowd. The most recent example of this was being charged 50 cents extra for each slice of cheese... on items that come with cheese. What the hell? I'm not an idiot and that is just straight criminal. I've also been up charged for grilled onions that are supposed to come on the cheeseburgers.
I've been handed packets of Waffle House sauce that were blatantly split and oozing with sauce. When handing it back, the employee just stared at me and said nothing.
Orders are consistently wrong, no sense of urgency or care by the staff, and simply a hassle to deal with. I actually called corporate about this location and spoke with someone at length about the grievances myself and my friends have experienced. I got a call a week later from a lackadaisical sounding GM noting "..guess you paid for some extra cheese? Come over and I'll pay for a few cheeseburgers for ya." I don't want your free food that will likely be messed up again. I want you to get your damn act together and make REAL change.
Never in a thousand years would I think I'd leave a bad review for a waffle house. I've prayed at the altar of WaHo for years and am still a loyal customer. However, I would NEVER go back to this location. We're talking in the middle of the dessert, famished -- still not going to go see these crooks.
Bottom line: I've only gone at night, but each time I have experienced either outright criminal upcharging or garbage service. Waffle House corporate -- you'd be better off severing this cancer of a franchise before it spreads to your loyalists like me. And, believe me, I've told...
Read moreI entered the restaurant with my boyfriend. Another server (Amber) proceeded to insist to our server that we should not be served because she knew my boyfriend. She stated that although he would be paying for me (which she did not know) he should not get his food. She then inquired about the health of our dog, referring to him as hers. I assume she has been around him before outside of Waffle House because they dont allow dogs inside, however the discussion of this should not trump receipt of food. She had quite the snarky attitude during this display. She extended her hand beyond our server who was attempting to set our silverware on the table; in oder to offer me an introduction and handshake, xclaiming she did not want to "be rude". However by then the line had been moved and crossed. Attempting to continue enjoying my brunch, I ordered but the server brought our food very slowly, and many items were left from the order. At this point I feel both servers collaborated on making my experience subpar due to her perceived relationship with my boyfriend. The whole ordeal was not something I would expect from a server. I attempted twice to call and report this incident to the manager, however Amber was answering the phones and both times attempted to represent herself as the manager despite me recognizing him as a tall black man named Levar. She took a message but I never...
