I have been to many gyms throughout my lifetime. Both professionally and casually, both as a combat sports athlete and a personal trainer. Ive had many experiences with various staff and facilities…
This place cannot be beat.
The owners and staff are among the friendliest I’ve ever met. They’re super responsive if you have any questions or concerns. The facility is always kept beyond clean, like it puts so many places I’ve been to shame. There’s a lot of care and respect they put into maintaining the place both internally and on the outside. The equipment always works and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a single machine down or missing piece of equipment.
The other patrons also reflect this, they’re also incredibly warm and friendly probably as a result of the care and passion put into the place. Theres a variety of individuals who attend too, so it feels incredibly inclusive. The price is insanely reasonable, and variety of equipment is unparalleled for the space. Combat sports? Pads, gloves, bags, etc. Timers on the wall for times workouts. Lots of cardio equipment. A good mix of both beginner strength and free weights (some of the best free weight stations I’ve seen), cross fit equipment, and various calisthenics tools.
Bathrooms are always super clean and updated, they have lots of really cool acknowledgments up on the board - and seeing how often other individuals are going is always a cool motivator. It is very likely you’ll see staff participating in the gyms facilities as well, and you can tell they love what they do. Key fob entry and security cameras with a well lit parking lot right off the highway. This place rocks.
The bonus of which being able to go to anytime fitness anywhere (I travel a lot) is great but truthfully I stay a member because of this facility - which I also go out of my way to drive to because it’s that much of a step up to other gyms in the area. I’ve sent at least 4 members here because of the experiences I’ve had here. You won’t be disappointed, and if you’re uncertain ask for a tour, the place speaks for...
Read moreSo here's the deal. I have worked out at numerous Anytime Fitness locations in 14 states and 2 Canadian provinces. The Auburn, MA. location is exceptional in every way. That said, is it the most stunning array of equipment? No. Is it the biggest? No. What it is though is a concise place to get a great work out at. The equipment is well maintained, and thoughtfully laid out so a workout can logically track through the facility. Next, it is probably the cleanest Anytime I have been to. My previous home Anytime in Waukesha, WI. while well equipped was always dirty and got cleaned maybe once a month. On-sight owners. This is important as many locations have absentee owners that merely hire people that have little motivation or incentive to do a good job. Again, using my previous Anytime in Wisconsin as an example, but also the Anytime on the north side of Worcester fit this model. Eric and Lori are always there, and are accessible to discuss your goals, and any concerns you may have, INCLUDING billing issues. Although most people keep to themselves(hey this is New England), the other members I have interacted with are good, decent folk. Lori and Eric run a great facility that I am proud, happy, and satisfied to be...
Read moreFour power racks, which is freaking awesome for an anytime fitness (I went to another AF that only has one earlier this week, and my normal one has two). Aside from that, it’s clean and has three bathroom/shower combos. Only downside is that it only has a normal water fountain, no water bottle filling station. It does have a vending machine which does mitigate that a little if, like me, you will pay a couple bucks to avoid drinking from a water fountain (which looked perfectly clean, btw, not faulting AF on that respect, I just generally dislike water fountains because people are disgusting.) But despite the lack of a water bottle refilling spot, which is an insane omission in a gym of all places, I’ll say 5 stars since the rest of the facilities were exceptionally...
