Iâm beyond disappointed in the outcome of this store. It was a store that was supposed to be built on COMMUNITY, yet as employees who are apart of the community, our voices went unheard. What made the store was the employees. The employees were the ones there serving, assisting, and answering questions yet if weâd bring up a problem it was glazed over. Upper management gossips about you to your equals, but as long as youâre their friend the favoritism will save you and you will have a good work experience. Brian will also tell you to âCalm downâ when not even speaking to him and when overhearing the conversation of workplace abuse will say âThatâs your jobâ But quite frankly itâs nobodyâs job to tolerate workplace abuse ESPECIALLY on a lousy hourly wage for the work thatâs done. I give huge props to the deli workers who bust their butts yet get no recognition.
I believe that Auburn Briarpatch would be a lot more successful if the Management actually pushed what this store was supposed to be built on. COMMUNITY. But I guess you only care so much when you...

People around here had been excited for it to come, and many said they loved the one up in Grass Valley. Unfortunately, my wife and I were less than impressed, this is not a market we will be patronizing. I kind of expected a sort of Trader Joe's on steroids. But, what I found was a sort of trendy Bristol Farms like place that we found expensive and a bit pretentious. Meat counter with smaller cuts, of beef, pork, chicken, etc.. more suited to a single person or couple, not someone buying for a large family or gathering. We did buy several items as they had a few good opening day coupons. I guess they feel the area has some well heeled residents that are looking for a place like this to shop. My wife and I grew up in Southern California, in Orange County, so we had plenty of exposure to pretentious places. Just my...
