I have been a Panera's customer for over 15 years. Lately, I go to the Auburn, (Bell Road), CA location. Last evening, I got a take out, but decided to sit down there and enjoy my sandwich. When I got to the table, I noticed that I had the wrong sandwich, BECAUSE, by MY mistake, I ordered the wrong sandwich. A girl who works making the sandwiches (I failed to get her name), saw me back at the cashier and asked what was wrong with my order. I told her that I got the wrong sandwich, and I would be more than happy to pay for the right one. I was looking at the menu and trying to figure out the sandwich that I really wanted, she asked me a couple of questions to help me, and BAM! She got it figured out! I made sure that I would be more than happy to pay for a new one, since it was my mistake. She asked me to wait, and brought to my table the right sandwich. I was really touched by her kindness and willingness to provide me a good experience. She also said that I was nice, and I was one of a few people who did not yell at her today. This broke my heart... These people are working hard, making delicious food and offering a very warm and friendly service. What kind of person yells at a person who is providing a service? What kind of person yells at a person who making your food, so you can have a good experience? To all the people who yell at people doing their best at their job: Do you know what you deserve? You deserve a flat tire on a rainy and cold day... Panera Bread Auburn, CA area: Thank you for your friendly service, hard work and great...
Read moreMy husband and I went to see what Panera was all about one evening. We ordered sandwiches and soup after a long wait we picked up at the window. My order was wrong and both soups were cold. I tried to order a sourdough loaf of bread but they did no have any. So the next morning I called Auburn, Ca and ordered a loaf of bread and 12.00 fsoup for 4 to be picked up at 2:00 PM in the drive through. We waited 10 min just to get to the window and when we got there, they did not know what I was talking about. So they proceeded to put my order together and said they had the bread. They brought the order out and it was totally wrong. They had charged me for it so a man came out and said they had refunded the charge to my Visa. Next they brought out another wrong order and I didn't know it but they charged me for it. Next they brought out a third order with just some soup and was charging me 18.00 for 12.00 soup. And they charged me for this one, and would not give me the 12.00 soup I had ordered. "DOES THIS GET ANY BETTER". NO, I was going to try and get my 6.00 back but my husband said" We have to get out of here because we had cars behind us for 15 min and they were getting mad! Lets get out of here and don't ever come back!! Folks their food is not that good and you better watch your orders because they do not know what they are doing and always out...
Read moreI don’t mind paying $55 for lunch (and we all had water to drink) for three people at a sandwich and soup corporate fast food chain. What is unfortunate is that the chicken is rubbery and the place is dirty. It’s about 60 degrees inside also. There are at least 8 employees working and maybe 10 customers having lunch. Plenty of tables inside and out. After paying for my lunch order (which suggested I tip prior to eating) I had to clean my table with dry napkins before I sat down. I actually had to ask for napkins to clean my table because the napkins were all empty. Then a young employee came and abruptly said in a slightly irritated tone, “do you want me to clean this table?” I said, sure! She used her dirty wet towel and first wiped down the seats, then wiped down the table!? People’s butts were on those seats! And she soaked them. Then she slathered that dirty wet towel all over my eating surface! She said, “there ya go.” I was like? Seriously!? Does anyone train these people? What’s really the draw to this place? The soup was okay, the salad was okay, the chicken was rubbery and restaurant was dirty and freezing. They have a self serve ordering kiosk so you don’t really even have to speak to anyone who works there. My experience was lacking to say the least. For 55$ I could make some great sandwiches, soup and salad for quite...
