Update: Although my initial experience was horrible, I spoke with the pharmacy manager Mindy, who informed me the lady I'd been discriminated by was a floating pharmacist and Mindy treated me with the dignity and compassion I'd expect from my neighborhood Haggen. I will be continuing to use Haggen and recommend this location just based off the leadership they employ with the manager Mindy.
Recently had went to this pharmacy to fill a prescription of pain medication. Now for the back story which apparently you need or you're some sort of bad guy for trying to fill what your doctor told you to take, fyi "don't write my own perceptions" but I was injured as a firefighter 7 years in, I fell thru a roof and have become disabled with spinal injuries. Had to add that so I'm sceen as a injured person and not some addicted junky. But I went to Haggen 10 minutes from my house and have never been treated so judged in my life! The pharmacist had me wait 20 minutes while my prescriptions were filled then called me to the counter and in front of other customers told me she wouldn't give me my prescriptions because she felt that I was taking more than she felt i needed!!! Didn't know my medical history, injuries, anything that so ever about me. Absolutely discriminated for no reason, because she knows zero about me nor does she some how know more than my doctor on what i should or shouldn't be taking. There are people abusing the system and there are disabled and injured people as well and just because some people are bad, doesn't mean we should all be treated so poorly. Do not come to this pharmacy unless you're open to be judged and shamed for simply trying to fill what you're much more knowledgeable DOCTOR...
Read moreThe store itself is pretty nice, quality items and well laid out. Itâs very convenient geographically. However, the prices are significantly higher then comparable stores. If you are seeking to save money, itâs more advantageous to shop at Fred Meyer, Safeway, or QFC. It can be frustrating that no matter how busy the store is, they usually only have 1-2 registers open and long lines to checkout. The workers are nice, but hear management is viewed unfavorably by them. However, what makes this store truly insufferable is the type of customer it attracts. The amount of self-entitled and arrogant shoppers you will encounter is staggering. People constantly leave their carts right in the open parking spot next to their car and drive away. Zero regard for someone who may want to park, or not have their own vehicle damaged by their laziness. It occurs at a far higher rate then any other store Iâve ever visited. Carts are everywhere in the parking lot and walkways. The shopping cart theory certainly holds true in determining a persons character. These same shoppers are likely the parents raising the junior high kids who come here daily to drink and eat food in the store without paying or steal alcohol without any concern of consequence. The parents whose kids are going 100mph up the Lakeland parkway all hours of the night. Stuck up shoppers who think because they live near a lake, they are special and above the simplest decency to return a cart or hold their children responsible. In Conclusion, the store itself is nice. The type of shopper it attracts on the other hand make this store...
Read moreI moved here a few years ago. Hagen is my neighborhood market. It was good when we first moved here. Then the bakery went from a 5 to a 0, products in the store are not properly rotated, expired items from produce items, shelf items , meat, dairy, frozen eggs, bisquits, etc. I have lost so much money from bad items. I gave the benefit of the doubt and continued shopping there. 4 days ago was my last shopping experience, I bought crema and it had an expiration of April 2023. I thought it had a funny taste, but had already taken a bite of my food and consumed it and asked a family member to try it and they said it was bad, too late, I vomitted violently all night. Shame on you Haggen for someone who suffers autoimmune disease, thanks for the lovely night of painful vomiting. I have since switched to the Safeway in Puyallup, Haggen Auburn being part of Safeway, is over priced and a expensive store, Safeway in Puyallup puts Haggen Auburn to shame.
Everytime I have been in passing of the Store manager pushing her cart or in her scooter, she has reeked of alcohol and you don't have to be next to her, just in passing you get a big wiff of it, this may be a part of the stores decline.....
Also most of the staff at Haggen are stone faced and look like they hate there job, could be a little more friendlier too. In self check out they just stand there overlooking you like your in prison. Hello, have a nice day, thank you for shopping at Haggen, can I get someone to help you with your groceries to your car goes a long...
