Puerto Vallarta, Lake Tapps — Restaurant in Auburn

I went here with the wife and 2 teenage kids for a late lunch(2:30ish). It took almost 20 minutes to event be greated by the host. There were 2 other families there waiting as well that ended up just leaving due to no one come to seat us. We finally got seated and noticed there were only 2 other tables that had people eating at them throughout the whole restaurant. No clue why there was a wait. We were severed our water chips and salsa (didn't get the normal bean dip). From there it was another 20 minutes before we had our order taken. We order the Western Steak Dinner and the Fajitas for Two. When our food came out, they didn't bring one of the plates of rice and bean or the second order of tortillas that comes with the Fajitas for Two. When asked they said it doesn't come with two rice and bean or extra tortillas. I had to show them the menu because they wanted to argue. They finally brought the rice and bean but still refused the extra tortillas. We were hungry so we just ended up eating. They never came around to offer drink refills or check on us for the remainder of the meal. When we were done we had to wait almost 20 more minutes for the server to bring us our check because he was busy having a full conversation about his auto detail business he runs on the side with the women at the table behind us. I finally had to go to the kid and ask for our check. He looked disgusting that I interrupted him and he said "well I guess" then turn to the Ladies at the table and told them he would be back. This was a totally poor customer service experience and I will never go back to...

This used to be my husband and I's favorite dining spot until we had kids. We began going to Apple Bee's and Red Robin as the kids got older and wanted burgers and chicken stripes. With the kids now 7 and 10 I was really wanting to go back, remembering how much we loved the restauraunt. The kids were less than pleased.

Upon arriving, the service was incredibly FAST. The kids ordered off the kids menu and usually at the other restaurants above it never fills them up and they eat some off my plate as I'm a light eater anyways. This wasn't the case here! My son said wow Mom this is a grown up size burger!! My daughter had 3 large chicken strips, not tiny little ones. The kids meal even came with a desert of lots of ice cream, chocolate topping, and cherry on top! They gave them large cups that we didn't have to need refilled constantly. I was VERY impressed. Not to mention the enchiladas are absolutely AMAZING and their mucho grande combo can feed me dinner and 2 lunches. The price is right and the service was impeccable. As someone who loves Mexican food (3rd Mexican restaurant in past 5 days) I was very disappointed tonight. First of all I ordered a house margarita on the rocks and it was carbonated. I reread the description on the menu thinking it was a house secret recipe but nothing on the list of ingredients had carbonation. Next I ordered the shrimp fajitas, a rare treat. I was sold when I read it included mushrooms, an ingredient not often included any more. When the dish arrived I was shocked to see some of the smallest shrimp I've ever seen in fajitas. They were overcooked and completely flavorless. It tasted like they took previously frozen cooked shrimp and tossed them in with peppers and onions. Then I realized there were no mushrooms. When I questioned the waitress she offered to bring a side dish of them. They were cooked in a completely different spice from the fajitas. All of this cost me over $30. Such a disappointment.
