I had a bad experience here. My son got injured at a trampoline park came here as he was in a lot of pain. There was no one in the waiting the room took us over 30 min to be called back and the receptionist obviously asked me for id n insurance card I didn’t have my his insurance card but I had mine n asked if she could get on the insurance portal to get his id number n she looked like she was annoyed bc she had to do extra work. Mind you my son is feeling pain n just wanted to make sure it wasn’t broken. We finally get all the Intake done n the doctor calls us and back she looks at the finger n says they will do xray and wrap it and that she would call me within 30 min for results she wrapped his wrist n hand but not the finger that was injured makes no sense and she never called me w results and I kept calling the next morning and couldn’t get a hold of her. Just frustrated with them n totally unprofessional bc I was concerned for my son. I would not recommend going here. If I would have known u would have just gone to the hospital. The intake staff is lazy and just scrolls thru their phone and doesn’t want to help patients. I wanted to add also when u get testing done here make sure it’s the right results you need. I had to follow up w orthopedic and they gave me another patients xray results on cd. Very frustrating because the ortho appt was in New Lenox which I couldn’t go back to fox valley to get new cd. They need to get it together.

It's very upsetting that an urgent care that closes at 9pm won't take walk ins at 8:25 pm. Urgent cares require appointments now? They should have that posted somewhere so that we dont waste our time driving out! I just wanted my throat checked as I think I have strep it would've been an easy 5-10 minute visit and there was zero patients in the office.

NEVER GO HERE unless it’s for nothing serious. DO NOT let yourself be seen by Dr. Jefferson. Every single time I’ve gone here, I’ve had a HORRIBLE experience, especially with her. The wait time is INCREDIBLY LONG even if you’ve booked an appointment. You walked in? GOOD LUCK. Be ready to sit and wait for 3 hours AT LEAST while watching random people who just walked in, get seen first. I came in one time with strep throat. I was given liquid antibiotics, which DID NOT do anything so I was given a second medication, which gave me a bad reaction of hives, went to a different place to rule that out and they wondered why they even gave me that medication in the first place. Came back here again this time for a respiratory infection, and was given a medication I had specifically written down as being ALLERGIC TO. I went into the clinic again, this time just for a strange cough I couldn’t get rid of, no other symptoms. Dr. Jefferson DEMANDED I get the Covid vaccine, right then and there. I respectfully told her I’m okay, and don’t feel quite comfortable getting the vaccine. She quite literally refused anything else for me until “I comply with the state and get the vaccine.” I told her absolutely not. She was upset, and gave me a 10 min speech about how I’m putting other’s lives at risk, and was guilt tripping me into getting the vax! I came back for my final time, this time just needing a doctors note for work because I had Covid-19, which I was then confronted about(from 2 YEARS AGO) an STD I caught a long while back because I was SA even though I had taken meds given to me by a different doctor there in the past, but it was on my record anyway. I was SHAMED by Dr. Jefferson for having an STD in the past and I have a “history of getting myself into illness” and need to be “more weary of disease.” Her words, NOT mine. I was so upset, I broke down crying due to this. I apologized anyway because I felt so embarrassed for simply being there and asking for care, and she asked another nurse to get me some water because I was “acting hysterical.” She explained to me crying would never solve the “many issues” I had going on. I was APPALLED. I walked out mid visit and just went somewhere else. I cannot believe I was treated this way!! I am NEVER going back there. The worst urgent care/doctors office I have ever been to. Came here two times, the first time was when I had Covid and needed a doctors note excusing me from work, they “forgot” to send the swab in even though this was the sole reason for my visit somehow the ball was dropped on this. Came here again recently for a scheduled appointment this time, front desk staff had advised me upon scheduling the appointment weeks prior that this would be billed as a regular PCP appointment. Upon arriving to my appointment, front desk staff were trying to charge me for an urgent care copay and visit..after explaining to them this is a regular PCP appointment that I scheduled weeks ago, I was prompted to take a seat and wait for about 45 min for the front desk staff to sort out and waive the urgent care visit copay and to bill it as a PCP appointment even though this is how I originally scheduled the appointment to begin with. The front desk staff said they have “no record” of who I spoke to when I scheduled the appointment, even though they were the ones who had called me.. While waiting to be called back to see the Dr., the two front desk woman at one point started laughing obnoxiously after hanging up the phone with another patient who apparently had called because she just had a miscarriage and was “bleeding out”. The fact that patients sitting in the waiting area could hear them speak so horribly of another patient and laughing about such a horrible situation really just baffles me. Upon finally being taken back to the doctors room 45 min late, the nurse who came in first kept me waiting for 10+ more minutes while he searched the building for batteries for the thermometer. Finally, when the doctor came into the room, he spent about 3-5 minutes in the room with me max, before saying “your prescriptions will be sent over to your pharmacy in about an hour” and leaving the room, without even telling me what prescriptions he was prescribing, or anything at all relating to my presenting symptoms, as well as not giving me an opportunity to speak or even ask questions. Update!!! Only giving this place 2 stars because the care was good at the time but the billing department is terrible. I originally went to this urgent care in 2022 for a UTI and it wasn’t until 2023 that I received a text letting me know that I owed $200. I called the billing department to find out why I was being billed. They stated my insurance was not active and that I needed to pay. I knew I had insurance at the time of service but by 2023 I already had different insurance. Luckily I was able to find my old insurance information after spending over an hour on the phone with the insurance company, that information was then given to the billing department (mind you I had to call multiple times to get in contact with them because they would not answer and at times not even call me back). I was told they would process it and let me know if anything didn’t go through. Fast forward to another year later I’m receiving another text message saying I now owe $180 from the same time of service back in 2022. I call the office and ask what is going on and the person who answers the phone proceeds to tell me that they are not responsible for knowing patients insurance information. When I asked why I wasn’t informed right away when the insurance denied the claim she wouldn’t give me an answer. To sum this up, the billing department will not inform you if services were not covered or if your insurance is not active until a year later and when you do everything you can to get them the correct information they wont even take the time to let you know if everything was taken care of. Instead they’ll bill you another year later. I would not recommend this place unless you want to have a headache come...
