Okay 1st off I want to say it was VERY difficult choosing the stars, 4.5 is right around where it belongs, not a 5* spot but better than a 4, I’ve rated it a 5 because I cant choose 4.5
That said the pizza was delicious. The Hot Honey Farmhouse was incredible and worth the price for a full. It had a great mix of sweetness from the honey, a hint of spice I would compare to slightly hotter than pepper, it’s a “hot” that I’d say even those who struggle with heat would be able to handle. The combination of pepperoni, arugula and honey made a delicious pizza.
The full size pizzas here are big and capable of filling 2 big eaters and a small eater. But we were a group of 4 so we needed a bit more.
We ordered the cheese bread which is actually a good bread with cheese. It’s literally cheese bread, it’s good cheese and good bread but the flavor overall was eh, like 3-4*. the issue with it is, for 12$ it didn’t taste good enough or have enough pieces to feel like the price was justified. Imagine putting cheese on bread at home and putting it in the oven. That’s the same flavor you get with these. It’s NOT BAD THOUGH, just even people at the table were saying for 12$ it wasn’t quite worth it, still good though.
Lastly we ordered a half order of the Quattro Formaggi which was great. It doesn’t have the traditional red sauce but that doesn’t mean this pizza was light by any means. This pizza is quite heavy with the ricotta really filling you up. It’s actually shockingly filling.
Overall the pizza didn’t let us down but the cheese bread app was a bit disappointing. Not bad just not worth it. I’d recommend this spot, it’s a tad bit pricey with every person spending a bit more than 20$+ tip with 1 full pizza, l half pizza, some beer and sodas. Overall it’s a good spot, not amazing but it lives up to the 4.5 rating it currently has. Don’t expect the best pizza ever, but you can expect a...
Read moreI honestly am a little hesitant to write this review, not because any of what I have to say is bad or untrue, but I don't necessarily want to share the knowledge and then have to fight for a table or face longer wait times for my favorite pizza. I've never been someone who loves pizza, its not something I would normally seek out or suggest for dinner, but if it was everyone else's vote I'd eat it. Then I reached the age where acid reflux became a part of my life, and I had to give up almost all things acidic. Pizza wasn't something that I missed or found hard to give up. Ever since finding Toss randomly onYelp because it was close to another business we were visiting, I now look for excuses to get into Austin more. Mother's day is next month, I'd like to go to Toss please. My birthday is in June, take me to Toss! It's Wednesday, hey, let's get some pizza! I plan my visits and take extra meds, and even if I still suffer a little, it is completely worth it. I'm originally from the East Coast, and Toss takes me back there. I've now been to both the Bee Caves and downtown locations, and I can vouch that the quality and taste of the food are consistent between these 2 locations. There's plenty of pizza to be had in Texas, but none of it comes close to being what a New Englandah would consider good. It's just not the same. But then came Toss, and now when I start getting nostalgic and missing my homeland, I can go get a pie and feed my feelings. Staff at both locations were also fantastic. Everyone was friendly and...
Read moreThis place just screams all the things that I love, pizza, booze, and a chill place to bring my dog Nymeria! I also totally give them props for doing a charity grand opening with Austin Pets Alive because as I was stuffing my face with pizza, I can say it was going to a good cause! So a few highlights, the carbonara pork pizza is the best. For some reason when you put an egg on top of something, it just makes it ten billion times better. The pizza here is thin big slices, very NY style. Each slice is about the size of your face! Other top favorites is the wings and the stuffed pretzels. One of the reasons that I like this place over a few other pizza places in town is the fact they dont only have beer. The fiance loves the beer selections here but the option for me, a non beer drinker, is plentiful. From frozen margaritas that I can add house made tequila infused floaters to the loose goose, vodka with fresh watermelon juice, this place is perfect for me. They also have made this awesome outdoor space with astroturf for lawn games and big screen TV's outside so it makes for a great place to hangout and for happy hour. Parking can be a bit tricky but the neighborhood behind the pizzeria as well as across are available for parking after a certain time, just make sure you read sign!
Also, the staff here is awesome! Our server totally put up with us chatting about pokemons the whole time and if you take a step out to the parking lot to the right, you can hit...
