My roommate and I went a couple days ago cleaned our gross apartment and rewarded ourselves with āhobby lobby, no time limitā. We spent at least 4 hours going wild like feral raccoons at a buffet.
This review Iām leaving is 100% for the awesome employees who work there - but we got so much stuff for half the price I would have paid for it! Will be back soon for the next fabric sale!
It seemed like the employees were doing inventory? As a former fabric store worker - my condolences! š«
Nonetheless all of these employees were amazing and lovely! Thank you all for being so patient with us!
We had 2 full shopping carts of fabric, and I needed to calculate how much I was spending and how much fabric I can get without selling my car. A lady whoās name I think is Renee was able to help me with this task and gave a lot of great pointers! Thank you Renee for taking time out of your busy day to help us budget and still be happy!
And there was another lady - canāt remember her name but she had funky fruit earrings. I liked her style so I asked her for advice on what color of fabric looked best on me. She picked the mustard yellow which I was leaning towards š) thank you for lending a fresh pair of eyes!
And then thereās MARK at the fabric counter! My roommate and I love mark! She felt bad that we were taking so much of his time with 2 shopping carts full of fabric. I used to work at Hancock Fabrics so I know that was my favorite part of the job (as long as I remembered to bring my own sharp scissors) but he was very assuring that he enjoys this part of his job, and afterall, thatās what heās paid to do.) he was also very helpful with finding the things we were looking for! (They all were)
The cherry on top was the girl at the register - she was vibing with our goofiness and very sweet.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I feel like I might be morally obligated to buy those employees Christmas presents next year.
We love yāall! Thanks for pretending we werenāt being annoying! Iāll be back soon and I hope I see yāall so I can be annoying and make u...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, normally I don't write negative posts, but what I got yesterday was pretty awful. Keep in mind that I love craft stores and even Hobby Lobby. This is particularly related to the service. Anyway I was getting ready to check out and the lines were already pretty long, there were just 2 cashiers and a manager (who couldn't be bothered to be on a register). So, that was the first issue. Anyway, I ended up waiting about 20 minutes before I got to checkout. Once I finally get to the checkout, the cashier barely speaks to me, then the phone starts ringing. She picks it up while she is checking my items (why did the manager who is not on a register answer???) So she is talking on the phone while checking me out. Once she finishes with my items, she is still on the phone and rather than place the person on hold, she looks at me and points at the screen where my total is, which was so rude and unbelievable that I had to look at the person behind me to make sure this was actually happening. So I kindly ignore that and wait for her to get off the phone. I tell her I'm a teacher and normally am given the 10% teacher discount. She tells me that they only give that if you are using a school card or check (In all my time coming here, no cashier has ever made me do that. They just give me the 10% off) I tell her this and she calls the manager over who condescendingly confirms what she has said. The cashier then she has the nerve to look at me and smirk. Seriously?? I've never had such a piss poor customer service experience at Hobby Lobby. I returned all the items I purchased. I'll be shopping at Joann's from now on. FYI, at Joann's they give teachers a 15% discount and you don't need to use a school...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have shopped at Hobby Lobby for over 20 years I even worked there in high school and have never had a bad thing to say in the 20+ years. However, that all changed when I went into the store over the weekend. I was getting items for my daughters mum since homecoming is coming up. We were walking around the store asking employees for help and all were nice until the end. We were walking around for a bit looking for a stapler and I see an employee so I thought I would ask for help. I said Mam do you know and that's all I could get out before she said "I'm off the clock" and continued walking I said I just wanted to and she interrupted me and said I'm off the clock and rolled her eyes I then asked her name she walked into the break room and closed the door. A few min later we're still looking for a stapler and I see the employee again she wasn't wearing a name tag so I asked an employee named Van the girls name he just ignored me so another girl walked up named Isla so I asked her the employees name she wouldn't give it to me. Finally a sweet lady named Carol who had helped me earlier asked if I needed anything I told her the situation she apologized gave me a hug showed me where to find the stapler and told me the employees name was Hannah. All Hannah had to say was I'm sorry I'm on break I can't help you or say the staplers are in the front instead she was rude and ignored me. From now on I think Amazon or Michael's is my go to. Hobby lobby lost a life...
