I've been coming to Crawfish ATX for years and love their food. I give the food four stars, but the service theses days is awful. My wife and I have dinned in and sat at the bar the last few weekends where we received horrible service. The so called "Manager" is very rude to his coworkers and especially the guest. My wife and I both work in the food service industry and felt bad for the other Bartender as we sat and watched the manager sit and talk to the guest for over thirty minutes as he sat and sang and talked about nonsense from what we could tell when his coworker was consistently making drinks and taking care of the people at the bar. The manager would occasionally turn around to micromanage the other bartender and at one point he told the people siting next to us he could run circles around his coworker and after he was done talking he left the bar for another ten minutes or so. The younger gentleman is very kind and attentive to the customers vs the manager is nothing but rude and turned down multiple people telling them he was to busy to get them drinks that the bar is for dine in only. We left the younger gentleman a thirty dollar tip and told him to keep it and he told us he could not and put the money in the tip jar. The two hours we where there we witnessed a few servers one being a younger lady getting their drinks talking horrible to one another and negatively about the guest sitting behind us. We returned on Sunday with a few friends and once again sat at the bar because it was a very long wait for a table just to observe multiple tables where empty. The service we received Sunday was great. The younger gentleman from the night before was bartending and he had a full bar and was making drinks for the whole place and he constantly kept a smile and was efficient and we never once had to ask him for anything he definitely knows how to give good customer service. We will definitely be coming back when he is working. The people running this place really need to take a step back and observe how their so called "Managers" treat their customers and observe how many complaints are written about the manager on the bar. My wife has tried calling now for two days where the phone just rings with no answer. We will keep trying until we are able to talk to a General Manager or the owner. I am still trying to figure out why a manager is bartending daily? Aren't their duties to manage the restaurant and ensure guest satisfaction not degrade and micromanage their coworkers? Very disappointed in the route this place is headed. This place use to be very enjoyable and...
ย ย ย Read moreWent here less than a week ago at about 1:00 PM. I was with two other people; one of us ordered the half shell oyster appetizer, one ordered the fried mushroom appetizer, and I ordered the calamari appetizer. The oysters came out ASAP and the drinks came after. The mushrooms came about 5 minutes later, when they also told us the calamari would be "right out." We asked for crackers from the waitress twice and she never brought them. We finally flagged down someone that looked like the manager and he brought the crackers. Then, still without the calamari, the entrees showed up. I asked for a side of ranch for the fries and again the waitress said she would bring it. Again, this didn't happen and I never got it. We ate our entrees and still no calamari appetizer. We finish our entrees and ask for the check and a to-go box. Our checks, to-go box, and calamari all came out at the same time. The calamari itself was incredibly bland and overcooked and pretty much inedible. So, not only was it not worth the wait, it didn't even come out until we were ready to leave. You'd think if this happened they would've asked at some point if we even still wanted it or at least offered to comp it but nope. They brought it out with some story about how the first batch didn't fry properly (even still, it takes 45 minutes to redo it?) and charged me for it anyways. Needless to say, this place was disappointing and not...
ย ย ย Read moreI saw the 3.5 star reviews and I still went to this nasty place. The star rating that they have now is way to nice for this place. First I asked the waiter how much the market price was for crawfish and he stated 7.49. When the crawfish came out they were the worst crawfish that I have ever tasted. They tasted sandy and squishy like mashed potatoes nastiest crawfish ever. You could tell that they were frozen. Later on I saw a black board that showed they had live and frozen crawfish which they gave us the frozen crawfish. It could have just been an innocent mistake by the waiter not letting us know they had two kinds. Well my check comes and they charged us for the live crawfish at 9.49. The waiter lied to my face and said I told you they were 9.49 and stuck to it. They gave me the nasty crawfish and charged me like they were the live. The manager stated they put the frozen crawfish with a chalk on the board but they do not sell it. Well if you don't sell it why is it on the blackboard? It could easily be erased. They wanted to charge me the high price for the frozen gross crawfish. They just wanted to rip me off. They made it really easy to never come back to this horrible place. Do yourself a favor an avoid this place at all cost. Listen to their mediocre reviews and dont learn the hard...
