The guys are very helpful and very nice. I do wish they would do a better job on consistency, when it comes to how they support the product they sell. I got a Traxxus from this location and week later something broke. I took it in and they said Traxxus has a warranty and one of the nice associates got on a call and had them send the part to the store and in return they gave me one they had in stock... AWASOME.. My neighbor got a similar Traxxus from the Cedar Park location. He got a total different response. He was told that they can't help him, but to call Traxxus, which he did and they are sending him a new part which will take few weeks to arrive. A few days later, another part in the Traxxus I got from this location had an issue again. I went in expecting the same level of service, but I was told to call Traxxus. This was them without even looking at the car. I told them what they did last time for me and then the associate took the time to call Traxxus and get the issue fixed. Just like the last time they gave me the part and sent me on my way. AWASOME..

Now here is my dilemma. I like to buy local so I don't have to give my money to Amazon of the world. Small business is good for my community. I wish Hobby town would be more consistent when it come to support after the sale. When selling the product, they could have done a better job in setting the expectation after the sale, when it pertains to support and warranty. They can take the approach that after the sale we are hands off when it comes to warranty repairs and that I would need to call Traxxus for the issue. The other option would be to offer something Amazon of the world cannot offer. On-site support for the product they sell that are under warranty. If Traxxus is willing to ship the parts to them and all they need to do is give me the one in stock they why not give that added value of buying from them versus Amazon.

I tell my staff be the Zebra in the herd of horses. You have to stand out and offer something your competitors don't. In that I feel Hobby Town still have room for improvement.
