CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED ! ! !
We had very bad experiences at other TC locations, with the run around from management and no response from corporate, so we were dumb enough to try this location. Even with ordering online these thieves still didn't get the order right. We didn't receive chips and queso for all four kids meals and three of the kids meals did not come with beans and rice. The kids didn't eat the cheese enchiladas and when I tasted them they were greasy and gross tasting. No wonder the kids didn't eat them. I don't think they were fit as hog feed. The chicken fajitas had a bad after taste of burned charcoal, not grilled. So, I forgot to mention, when I got there they made a big deal to announce to everyone that I was the one that ordered online. They might as well have said this is the idiot we're gonna screw over. They even mentioned it to the manager that just came in from outside and appeared to look coked up. So the person that mostly appeared to be a woman brought over the bags of food and just stood there and did not say a thing. After a minute of feeling awkward I asked, is that all of it, to which the quasi-woman said, yes. I then asked are the extra tortillas my wife ordered in there, to which the quasi-woman answered with the confidence of a Mexican street cart vendor, Yes. So I'm leaving this hard to get to location and thought aren't the kids meals suppose to come with drinks. So I call the wife and find out drinks were ordered and to top it off they did not give me a receipt, later I discovered one in the email. So I go back and told quasi-woman I didn't receive any drinks for the kids meal. Appearing dumb founded she handed me four coffee cups, instead of kids cups . So I assumed I had to head over to the drink dispenser and started filling the cups, so I put what lids I thought fit on the cups and Mr. Incompetent, that's what I'll call him, insisted I was using the wrong lids and kept stating they're too big, they didn't fit. After trying to figure out what eye to look into, that's just what I do to try to figure out if these people even have a soul, I asked Mr. Incompetent so what lids am I suppose to use, he then points over to the coffee lids and says those ones. I said these lids have holes in them, why would I want to use them and spill drinks all over my car. In his infinite wisdom he says you do what you will, but those are the right lids. So I then ask do you have a cup holder for these drinks, he then reaches high out of sight to a stack of cup holders. So I leave and get home and of course discover the drinks leaked on the seat. After discovering we got robbed. We call the store and of course no one answers, they're thieves. Why would they answer, they're not even capable of any form of customer service. So I learned my lesson, again. Good bye Taco Cabana and your identity crisis, are you Mexican food, are you Tex-Mex food, are you neither, are you even food for humans. I don't know. I give up. I surely won't miss you and you're fools that think they deserve $16 an hour when they don't even deserve the $8 they get. Go ahead and price yourself out of a job. I don't care. I won't ever be eating there ever again. I only regret giving you one star and wish I could give...
Read moreIf i could give this place ZERO STARS I would! Absolutely disgusted with the customer service i received from the so called "manager" EDGAR. I had ordered an DoorDash order on 3/4/2020, it was the 3 Street steak tacos combo with a Large Sprite Specific instructions to NOT INCLUDE ONIONS AND CILANTRO in my tacos due to me being HIGHLY ALLERGIC. Upon receiving my order i started to notice cilantro on MY BAG and the outside of my to go plate. I thought to myself clearly it states on my receipt no onions and no cilantro so there shouldnt have been any cilantro in sight, but i get it when youre working fast in this type of environment it can happen..not a big deal....right? Until i Opened my food and low and behold there was ONIONS And CILANTRO in my TACOS! So i called this restaurant to inform the manager at the time of my situation(I do not recall her name) she was absolutely sweet about it and stated i could come back and get my whole order replaced or I can come back another day. I opted to come another day...fast forward to today I left my job which im not supposed to to come and get lunch here thinking it would be a quick fix, I asked for the manger which took him almost 10 mins to come out, and when he finally did and i explained what happen, He had the most confused look on his face and was ONLY trying to comp the 3 tacos not my whole order, when i told him what the manager from the day before told me he was like yea but you got your order and your sprite, so the tacos were the only thing wrong so ill give you the 3 tacos. I said No i was told i could get my whole order comped. He again said Well you got the sprite, So ill give you the plate. I said fine whatever just do it. I will not be coming back to this location or ordering from here again, I thought the whole point of Customer satisfaction is to have the customer leave happy and wanting to come back? that is the TOTAL opposite of what i received at this location! HORRIBLE PLAY on the managers part. I have been a manager for over 2 years and i have been in the customer service industry for over 8 years and i know what happen to me here is absolutely not customer service satisfaction. Please Re-train your staff including the manager. ALL FOR A SPRITE!!!! He could of simply been like "well i cant give you the large drink but i can certainly give you a smaller size" but i couldnt...
Read moreMy last review for this location (2 yrs ago), was centered around a couple issues of quality, volume, and consistency in quality. I cant actually say if its improved or worsened, ... since I stopped frequenting this specific location and then moved to another city a few months after. The reason for this update is to shed some light on a growing problem seen throughout the greater Austin area in all hospitality and food service industries. The need to remind hourly millinial employees everywhere that just because you were coddled and spoiled as children and sheltered from any adversity or even the word "no", as an ADULT in the working world and especially in a customer service driven industry, it's NOT about you and if you don't like your job or the people you serve, and yes I said serve, then you need to leave the job and continue sponging off mom and dad. We don't want you giving Us dirty looks, and treating customers like we are interrupting or bothering your personal time. Case in point 👉 today's visit to Taco Cabana to give them another chance and see what's changed in 2 years. There's no more shelter in place and covid has been gone for over a year now, so restaurants have all opened their lobbies again for quite a while now actually. So why, when I go to the door at 9am, the first door was open, then the second interior door was locked and I couldn't get it, even though the very visible, very well seen hours of operation sign says that it should have been open for a few hours already. So as i was coming up to the second door the "millinial" brown haired young female behind the counter walked.over to the Same door VERY QUICKLY. I THOUGHT she was coming to make sure the door was unlocked but as soon as she saw that I tried and couldn't get in, she turned around very dismissively! I tapped very lightly on the door to ask her since the signs obviously incorrect, when do they open? But she didn't even make eye contact, she flung her hand upwards in the VERY recognizable GO AWAY fashion. There's no call, no excuse, and no way I'm EVER going back to this...
