Is there really anything better in life than your first time entering a unique Toy Store as a kid?…

Sure, an argument could be made that your first time LEAVING said store with toy in hand could be more exciting, but I’d still argue that it’s not.

Call me sentimental, but I can remember the overwhelming sense of excitement as I rapidly realized that not only does “this place have a toy section,” but it’s only reason for existing is to sell ALL the toys.

I can’t express how grateful I am to live and raise my child in a city that has not one, but at least three of the most unique toy stores I’ve ever visited - Toy Joy, Terra Toys, and Monkey See, Monkey Do.

I may not know what beats the feeling I described above, but I am absolutely certain that the closest runner up is being able to provide that experience to your child.

In a world where online shopping and retail chains continue to engulf local markets at a devastating pace, I can not thank the fine folks that keep these establishments up and running enough.

I really do love Monkey See Monkey Do. I've found things for me, for my family and for my friends. They have some decent vinyl selections- and I recently found out that there's a little shelf that you can trade vinyl figures you have for the ones they have. I keep intending on going and trading in my multiples, but haven't been able to remember to take them with me when I go over to that area. One day I'll have to make a special trip just for that purpose. You can put together a pretty decent grab bag, Christmas stocking or affordable gift assortment here for anyone that loves toys as much...

This is THE place to go for a quirky gift for yourself or a friend!! They have super fun/funny/trendy stuff like dolls, mugs, books, art, decor - you name it. It's location is quite nice since street parking is free in this area and usually easy to find unless you are here during peek peek hours.
