"What's the food like?" You go here for cheap and quick burgers and fries and that's it. What do you want, Kobe beef, guacamole and bacon on a brioche bun? Go somewhere else if that's your jam. You don't order anything other than the burger and fries and you'll be golden. You deviate at all and that's a bad idea every time. This is fast food in a tiny shop on a busy corner and it's been here forever. You either like it or you don't.

"What about the bathrooms?" What bathrooms? It's a drive thru.

"The staff, how are they?" They're fast food staff, not some gourmet chefs telling you about the provenance of the beef. They slave away in hot and cold with tons of grease and cheap customers in hurry with their loud dogs and hangry kids. They do their job and that's all you should expect. I don't care if they don't smile or ask about my day, they make cheap burgers for cheap minded folks.

"Would you go back?" I always go back here when I hit up the old neighborhood. It's nostalgic and you can't duplicate it. You don't get better ingredients and one up it, you don't go cheaper and try and undercut it, it is perfect blend of what you need and you want it.

"How is the parking?" It's a drive thru you genius. You gonna ask what the seating is like at the closest ATM too?

"How much is it?" I don't know, the price is on the...

I have lived around this area for a handful of years and had never bothered going here until this July. Boy was I glad I did! I'm a chicken strips fiend, fiend I tell you.. And anywhere that has them on the menu with gravy is where I wanna be! I've come here and have brought other people here a ton of times since the first time I got food. Everything has been delicious! The fries are well seasoned and crispy, which is exactly how I want them! The chicken fingers are always battered properly and not super greasy. They give you a ton of food.. And a ton of fries whenever you order. Come hungry!

I have yet to order a burger from here because the chicken is just so good.. But everyone who has with me has loved it. I'm gonna have to order a burger the next time I come through!

The cherry limeade is to die for as is their apple pie! I've only ever ordered the apple pie once because after seeing how much food I got the first time.. I did not wanna go overboard.

The service has not been exceptional but none of my orders have ever been wrong or missing items, so I cannot complain much.

Every time I come to town, we start the visit off with a cheeseburger. We've got a couple-few places on the list of acceptable options and, so far, every visit to Short Stop has been great! Even when they're busy, and the line is long, they've always been very nice at the window; the orders correct; the noms YUMMY! The fact that there's no dining room to worry about, or public bathrooms to clean, or parking lots to tend to means they can focus on flame broiling those burgers to perfection. I am a super fan of bacon, so the bacon cheeseburger has been my "safe choice" for the first few visits. Tonight I was feeling chickeny so we got me a 5pc tender meal and shared. The fella was pleased for gravy with his fries and I really liked the crunchy crunchy breading. (He's got the metabolism of a teenager so he got a double cheeseburger meal, too.) The chicken was tender and juicy, and the pieces were HUGE. Like, where do you find chickens that big?? I know what part the tender is and these are really BIG. Absolutely a good value meal! I have enjoyed each visit so far and look forward to the next...
