I actively avoid coming to this TJ Maxx.
This is because of two workers here. Specifically the lady from the Jewelry counter and I believe the other lady that might be store manager, they might be related because they sound similar and look alike.
This is the closest tj maxx I have and I would rather go to the one by lakeline mall just to avoid these two.
I love the jewelry from TJ Maxx, but woman is constantly talking about other things and forgets that she’s working. She called it today “making conversation”. To a certain extent I accept it and is even nice. But she goes overboard and talks about the same things over and over again, like I’ve had to ask her multiple times to get the piece of jewelry I am asking for because she doesn’t stop talking about herself and literally forgets. As well as, makes herself seem more important than she is. As someone who wants to talk about the jewelry and maybe some topic similar, I don’t really care about how you could make more money somewhere else or because you were a professor before. I really hate to say it but she’s kind of annoying of a sales person. Bear in mind I have had patience with her, I have had her as my sales associate multiple times.
As for the other lady, she flat out annoying because every time I have come to TJ max, even AN HOUR before closing, she tells everyone that comes in that they close in 15 minutes. I understand if this store is hectic and they need to do a lot of cleaning up after the store closes but, literally every person that walks in she says the same thing about the 15 minutes at the top of her lungs. It’s truly so disturbing for the shopper.
These two ladies are always there, so there’s no other way around it, except go to another tj max.

Read moreI love this location—it's my preferred one. However, this is the third time I’ve witnessed the manager, Oladis (I believe that’s the correct spelling), berate employees in front of customers. She was loudly yelling at employees, demanding to know where others were, and complaining about them within earshot of shoppers. It was extremely unprofessional and could have been addressed privately, away from the public.
While I was in the shoe section, she was shouting at two employees around the purse section (was extremely loud), accusing them of doing nothing—even though they were clearly putting away items left in baskets. I felt so bad for the staff that I put my items back and decided not to make a purchase. The anxiety in the employees was palpable—that’s how uncomfortable the situation was.
Thank you for your response. I appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge my concerns and for forwarding them to the Store Manager. My review wasn’t just about my experience as a customer, but more about the lack of courtesy and professionalism being shown to the employees. They deserve to be treated with respect—especially in front of customers.
This type of behavior could very well explain the high turnover rate at this location and why employees may try to avoid management altogether. Based on other reviews, it seems this is not an isolated incident, as several customers have commented on poor treatment by multiple managers. I hope this feedback helps create a more supportive and respectful work environment for the team. I truly value this location and hope to see meaningful improvements...
Read moreThis is hands down the worst T.J.Maxx I’ve ever been to—and I’ve been to many. The selection is terrible. Almost everything is those so-called “brand-name” items that are clearly made just for discount stores: cheap materials, poor quality, and nowhere near the standard you’d expect from the actual brands. It’s deceptive and disappointing. If you’re expecting to score good deals on quality goods, forget it. Even the prices aren’t competitive. I bought the exact same pair of shoes in Boston for $29.99—here they’re charging $39.99 for them. Total rip-off.
And the customer service? Absolutely awful. I came in to return something from an online order, and one of the cashiers was incredibly rude. I was literally pulling up the info she asked for, and she turned around and told the manager I had “no order details”—not my email, not my order number, nothing. Complete lie. I had everything and showed her, but she still acted like I was the problem. Zero patience, zero professionalism.
Honestly, for someone old enough to have gray hair, she clearly never learned how to treat people with basic respect. Rude, condescending, and totally unfit for customer-facing work. If this is how they train their staff, no wonder this location is such a mess.
The only reason I’m even giving one star is because the store manager at least tried to explain things politely. Otherwise? This place deserves zero. Avoid it if you can—there are way better T.J.Maxx...
