I had some difficulty with the register accepting my app payment. The cashier supervisor, Kyle, was extremely condescending.
First, he stated that it was not working because I was not logged in. He was mistaken, because I was logged in. My name was at the top of the screen and so was my email.
He then began to tap on my phone (trying to get to the area of the app where I can log in). Usually I would not get upset at someone just tapping my phone before asking, but because I was already upset with Kyle I felt it was rude of him to invade that personal space.
I expressed my frustration with the app, to Kyle, by saying "your app" and he immediately told me that he didn't write the app. No F@#&* S%$# Kyle....clearly he did not write the app, I know that. He does however work for Target and should take some pride in that, by wanting it to be the best app it can be, and finding ways to improve it.
After he can't figure it out he simply excused himself from helping me by saying that I should report the problem by email. I think this should be the responsibility of the Target employee. If Target is going to have their name on something, Target and its' employees needs to be sure it is up to standards and is serves their customers the best it can.
Usually this app is amazing, and it is possible it was just a minor glitch. But I have heard others state that their identities were stolen through the app and it started out just like this.
I went to customer service where I was greeted by a very friendly employee (cant remember your name - sorry - but I would like to commend her for her professionalism. I was frustrated, but she was amazing) she helped me with one issue I had at a prior store and also called for a supervisor so I could express my concern with Kyle's behavior. To my "delight" Kyle was the first manager who came to speak with me...I simply asked if I could speak with someone else. Kyle then said in a sarcastic tone "Have a nice day, I guess", laughed and then walked away. Clearly this employee believes he is above the customer and does not have to show respect. Kyle needs to be reminded that because of Target customers, he has a job. He should be thankful for that and appreciate his customers.
Kristen was the next manager I spoke with. She was much more understanding. Thank her for that, please.
Employees like Kyle should be trained better in handling things. Especially being that Target has placed trust and confidence in Kyle to represent their stores by putting him in a management position. Maybe he was having an off-day, unfortunately managers need to know how to work without allowing their personal feelings to control...
Read moreI used to love going to Target. I recently had the worst experience at this location. I had 4 coupons from the newspaper and 4 of the target coupons for a product, coupons all for the correct items. The cashier was super nice but wasn't able to answer my question regarding to why the product rang up incorrect. He called over the CSM, this particular CSM wanted to cancel the transaction without being able to answer my question. She told me that the new system does not let them go in and fix the price if it's incorrect, which is not true. I saw a cashier go and and adjust the price because it was incorrect a few days before this incident and the cashier was the one that caught it. After attempting to explain to her what I was talking about she did not appear to understand so I left without buying what I came for.
This same CSM cancelled a transaction of mine when I went to customer service with a question regarding to cartwheel a few months back. She was unable to answer my question on why the 25% off only came off in 4 items, which I found out the answer myself later. But she did see that I used 12 coupons on diapers, which was all for the correct product and within the limit. She end up telling me that I am only allow to use 8 coupons per day, apparently new rule that the sco attendant didn't know because I let him check my coupons before scanning them. There was also not anything in their policy about 8 coupons per day. She got all the coupons out from the self check out and question why I use self check out. I didn't realize you're treated differently for using coupons. It made me feel like I did something illegal even though I followed all their rules. The CSM cancel the transaction and wanted to start over only letting me use 8 coupons. I had already paid for all these items so I wasn't planning on paying more because she made up some bs rule. I left without repurchasing my items.
Target associates appears to be incompetent when it comes to their cartwheel apps and coupon policy. If there is really limits on coupons then please post it where customers can see. Why have self check out if you're not allow to use it if you have coupons or being treated as a criminal.
I will not go back to this store and am considering not shopping at...
Read moreToday I visited the Target location to purchase a tumbler as from Starbucks as part of their January launch. I waited patiently in line to acquire a black Starbucks Tumbler. While I was in line I noticed that there were red tumblers merchandised behind the counter as well as in a basket that was almost completely empty with the exception of two tumblers. While I was in line there was a gentleman that was wearing a buffalo plaid shirt that was removing the black tumblers from behind the counter and handing them to guests. I continued to wait in line and as I did two customers came in and stood in line behind me. They asked me where they could get the tumblers and I mentioned that I was going to ask since I saw them behind the register. At this point I was two customers away from paying and this couple was behind me. Without any communication the Starbucks employee in the buffalo plaid (red and black checkered shirt) picked up the last two tumblers and handed them to the guests. The guests never spoke to the employee, all their questions were directed at me. I was also the only one to mention the word black when it came to tumblers. When I reached the register I asked the gentleman for a black tumbler and he mentioned that the last two were with the customers behind me. Customers that at this point I strongly believe he knew and had arranged this transaction with. I explained that I was in line and he said that there were no more that he recommended trying Randals on Brodie Lane. From that point on I went to two different Randal locations as well as two more Target locations. Every Target location I went to mentioned that they had these items out available for any customer to grab and that they were not to be held behind the register. They also mentioned that in most cases stores received 8-10 and that based on that quantity there would not be a scenario where only a portion were put out. It was also in these stores that the employees shared that their opinion about what had happened was what I was beginning to believe; that in fact the employee discriminated against me and chose who he was going to sell...
