If i could give a 0 review i would. My boyfriend took me in here to buy me a necklace pendant with turquoise as we were passing through the area. They close at 6 but when we walked in before 5:20 the owner was hesitant to let us in. He chose to let us in after asking what it was we were looking for and telling us we could look "quickly". We spent as little time as possible picking a piece from the beautiful selection. Some of the necklace pendants double as broaches but the owner assured us he could remove the pin. After selecting a gorgeous hummingbird pendant and handing over our money i said that i would never wear it as a broach and asked if he could remove the pin as he had suggested. He took the pendant away and returned with it in a box and bag - we paid and left. As we walked out of the store i opened the jewelry box to add the pendant to my necklace and found the pin was still on it. My boyfriend went back in to ask him again to remove it while i went to wait in the car. When my boyfriend returned to the car and handed me the pendant i found that the owner had ground off the top of the hummingbirds wing which had caused the stone on that part of the pendant to fall out (presumably somewhere in the store) and left an extremely sharp and mangled edge of open metal. I usually gives the benefit of the doubt but i cannot believe he did not notice his mistake, especially considering he hasn't removed the pin in the first place after offering to do it. The pendant is NOT wearable. We ran right back to the store but the owner had already locked up and did not respond to us knocking. It hadn't been longer than two minutes since we walked out. There are still10 minutes until their closing time and i am already back at our accommodations for the night as i type this. I regret that he paid with cash or we would be on the line to the credit card company to stop payment. What a complete shame and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Turquoise Trading Post has one of the largest and most beautiful collections of turquoise jewelry and accessories in Texas! And they fix Native American jewelry for free - yep, you got it - for free! And even if the item was not originally purchased at their store! I recently took a long double-strand fetish necklace I had that had both strands broken, and some missing turquoise beads, which they completely re-strung with new and slightly larger turquoise beads because I had lost too many of the original beads when the necklace had broken a few years ago. Anyway, they first asked me if the new beads would be ok because they were slightly different in color, and then a couple days later they called me to say I could pick up the "repaired" necklace. I put "repaired" in quotation marks because although it was strung identically to my original necklace, it seems like a whole new necklace because of the new beads, and the new beads actually show off the white pearly fetishes much more nicely than the original beads. I plan to wear it at the rehearsal dinner for my daughter and soon to be son in law. They didn't even charge me for the new beads. I'm still in awe both of how beautifully they re-made my necklace and such generosity. ...
Read moreWe just had traveled more than 800 miles this Wednesday August 9, to come see this store, which I had spotted on the internet while preparing for our oneymoon trip. Unfortunately, due to work on the road we arrived 10 minutes before closing... I had a budget of more than 2000 dollars planned for this store because I have always only worn Native American jewelry... Jewelry that the three saleswomen on places have noticed. I just had time to buy a watch for a friend and some earrings for my wife It was only a few minutes that I asked to be able to finish my purchases because the next morning as I explained, we had no choice and we had to leave early but not only was I refused but we made it clear to us that we had to go out immediately by turning off the lights. One of the saleswomen even stayed in front of the store afterward, looking at her phone while waiting for someone. I guess she shouldn't have the keys. A few minutes⦠was that so bad? For months I've been dreaming of your store... disillusionment has lived up to...
